Liverpool’s shirt sponsor, Standard Chartered, indicated it was awaiting Fifa’s verdict earlier today.

They went balistic over Suarez racism thing and the Dalglish handling of it............

Let's see. Racism has a far more negative impact and is seen so negatively. This is not as bad from from their point of view I'd expect, other than he won't be playing. Can't see them cancelling but who knows.

Okay, I'll bite. As so to speak . . .

Delighted with the signing of Herrera.

Sounds like Luke Shaw to follow tomorrow.

Talk about waiting for buses.
Bet Moyes is delighted too! ;)

Going to be an interesting season next year for you - let's see who else you sign. We will be there to scoop up anyone you release, subject to them being over 30 and demanding a huge wage.

Could do you a Nani - unless he can be used to get Vidal from Juventus.

Pretty sure is under 30 no? Too young for Harry. We need experience.

I didn't see much of him for Portugal but the bits I did see he looked awful - what's happened to him?

He was our player of the year in 2011 - since then he's pretty much had injury after injury. Moyes obviously didn't fancy him so he hasn't really had a chance to get back.

Court Ruling from the UK:

A seven year old boy was at the centre of a courtroom drama yesterday when he challenged a court ruling over who should have custody of him.
The boy has a history of being beaten by his parents and the judge initially awarded custody to his aunt, in keeping with the child custody law and regulations requiring that family unity be maintained to the best degree possible.
The boy surprised the court when he proclaimed that his aunt beat him more than his parents and he adamantly refused to live with her.
When the judge suggested that he live with his grandparents, the boy cried out that they also beat him.
After considering the remainder of the immediate family and learning that domestic violence was apparently a way of life among them, the judge took the unprecedented step of allowing the boy to propose who should have custody of him.
After two recesses to check legal references and confer with child welfare officials, the judge granted temporary custody to the England Football Team, whom the boy firmly believes are not capable of beating anyone.

Well, Suarez has had 4 days to come up with his excuses, and this is the best the collective might of his team can come up with!!

Let's hope none of us have to hire his lawyers - sounds like a Little Britain sketch!
I am so monumentally embarrassed that he plays for us now. Please, for the love of my sanity, sell him quick and buy some very good players who are less likely to eat people and then make up ridiculous excuses.

Sanchez, Pedro and 20-30 million would be a great deal.

You'll have changed your mind if he has the same season as this one. It is very much deja vu!

Brazil v Chile was a very good game. I wanted Chile to win, and thought they shaded it, but a penalty shoot out could have went either way.

I also wanted to see how Brazil as a nation would have reacted to going out so early. Maybe next time. ;) :D

Well done Colombia. Goal of the tournament so far by Rodriguez.  Their other goal wasn't too bad either. :)

Uruguay lacked a bit of bite up front. :coat:

LOL - and good ridance to them.

They should take their defeat out on their little rodent instead of making a laughing stock of themselves and backing the wee scrote. ;)

Nope, because he's a timebomb now. One more infraction and he's going to get a two year ban. That's a financial liability we can't afford.

Feel sick. Dead proud of the boys. Better than England Spain and Italy.

Hard luck buddy

I can't imagine how you feel.

Actually hang on :banghead:

But yes - better than England, Spain and Italy.

This Algeria v Germany game (at 80 mims) is one of the best 0-0 I have seen.

So it looks like Suarez is pushing through a move to Barca...

At least he (aka Barcelona) is sorry and that we now know there will never be an incident like this again.

Nice of him to apologise to the club and fans.

I've only read one article today so I'm not sure if your being sarcastic or if he really has apologised to the club and the fans.

The quote I read said.....

'Independent from the fallout and the contradicting declarations that have surfaced during these past days, all of which have been without the intention of interfering with the good performance of my national team, the truth is that my colleague Giorgio Chillieni suffered the physical result of a bite in the collision he suffered with me.

'For this: - I deeply regret what occurred.

'I apologise to Giorgio Chiellini and the entire football family.

'I vow to the public that there will never be another incident like.'

It was sarcasm. No mention of the club, team or fans of Liverpool. It's all about Barca.
