Sorry, Joe! Didn't ignore you deliberately.....it was just a fortunate coincidence fabs said:Great goal, even better match result.![]()
wasn't an overhead kick, it was a sideways scissor kick, but it was lovely

The sun had better be joking today. Walcott AND £8m for sterling!!!! Sterling has had a dozen decent games for an average side and we want to offer an England starter who is a proven scorer and cash??? If that is not just paper gossip then I will be amazed at the stupidity of the deal.

joescrivens said:Nope. I don't think he does. I think his best years are right now. It's not a play for the future like sterling is, he has 6 years on Walcott. Walcott has to adapt to the team and adjust to living in the north. Etc
Sterling has a head start on that. I think it would be a bad move.
I didn't say I'd want the deal, just that Walcott is just coming into his prime.
joescrivens said:I know what you said. But I said I disagreed. I think he is in his prime now and doesn't have his best years ahead especially in a Liverpool shirt given the reasons above.
And that is why I called you nuts.![]()

If Hughes is still in his job Monday he's the luckiest man alive and the bookies can start paying out on us being relegated. I didn't make today's match, but by all accounts sounds just like most other matches we needed to win - tactically inept, outfought, players not performing, negative. At least I can say I could not really argue about the team selection, well other than Ferdinand, who knows what's happened to Hill, player of the year last year at CB, of yeah that's right he said publicly he could not play left back as he was too slow - absolutely correctly, but we would do his best. We get murdered from every single corner, free kick - it's just unbelievable.
All he keeps saying is 'I had a big job when I came here' blah blah, well you've had plenty of time, decent budget, your team now, your selection, your results, which overall have been appalling all round. I've been through 2 relegations, and whilst they hurt I could take it as I knew the team itself was crap -but this season we have good players, we should not be where we are, the mistakes are criminal- how much is he on £3 million a year? He's had support from Fernandes, the fans everyone despite poor results but this really is too much.
Southampton remind me of how we were under Holloway in some ways, feelgood feeling, all the club together. I hope they stay up.
I still think we can stay up, we're only 5 points off safety despite are terrible start, however we need to make a change, and make it now. He's been given time and money, and not delivered.
\Rant over

Obviously not happy that United lost but Chelsea lost too which was good. Good win for City so that's my bad news for today.
The irony of a ABU hedge bet - As Liverpool are competing against Norwich in the league more than they are United. Please tell me (after Norwich went ahead) you placed a bet for United to win only to loose your bet but claim to be happy to loose the bet despite the fact that a Norwich win was the worse possible result for Liverpool![]()
Norwich wont affect our final position in the league.

Nice little deflective dig though.

You are over analysing things phil.
1) it's too early in the year to work out who Liverpool are competing against. Next you'll be saying that arsenal are competing against west brom for a CL place.
2) I was actually just looking forward to another £50 in my pocket after the last 2 results and did want them to win.
3) Liverpool won so I am happy
4) now that I'm over not winning any cash it's nice to see man united lose. Always a bonus result when that happens.

4 bullet points to tell me that I'm over analysing things
I see what you did there with arsenal though![]()
Well, i have to spell things out and keep them simple for you mate![]()
Cheers - it does help me understand your logic![]()
