Bizarre news that Drogba has been released from his new club. Would welcome him to Arsenal in a heartbeat!
Yep - he can join other has been - perhaps like Walcott, he could ask for 100k

Other has been? I don't even know what that can mean in relation to Arsenal. Who here is a 'has been'?

One day Arsenal will be great again, but not yet

Did you mean Leeds, Sheffield Wednesday's, Sheffield United, Nottingham Forest, Liverpool or Spurs? Because Arsenal are a GREAT club.Qualify for the Champions League for the 16th consecutive year, champions league seeded, AND!

Watching MOTD and I have to say I was cheesed off with ONeil and Sunderland... I am fed up with teams kicking the ball out as soon as a player goes down, and was pleased to see swansea played on after a foul on McLean. Despite looking like he had been shot, and oneil being a tool, he was up again able to walk!!!

I didn't have the sound turned up so I'm not sure of the player's name for Swansea - but he nearly took the other guys head of.

Chico. Had a mare and could have gone for above foul on McLean.

3 old football fans are in a church, one Arsenal fan, one Spurs fan and a Liverpool fan.The Arsenal fan asks "When will we win a cup?"And God says "In two years"And the Arsenal says he will be dead by then, and walks out.The Tottenham fan says"When will we win the Champions League?"And God says "In 10 years".And the Tottenham fan says he'll be dead by then, and walks out.The Liverpool fan says"When will we win the Premier League?". There is a long pause. And God says "I will be dead by then"

Have to say (and I know it's based on 1 game) but after seeing Carroll play for west ham, liverpool have made a huge mistake in letting him go.

Not necessarily. Liverpool don't want to play the same style as west ham, in west ham's style andy can shine, perhaps not at Liverpool.

I have always liked andy and I wanted him to stay at Liverpool, but if he plays better at west ham and it makes him a better england striker in the end then I'm all for it.

Now onto Liverpool vs TTFKAVP - hope we turn up for the game.

Ooh Podolski - he's in my FF team. I've only had 2 goals from Yaya Touré so far and am miles behind.

See, I don't get this style thing. Carroll is good at holding the ball up and arsenal who do play the style Rodgers likes have a 6ft 4 version of Carroll up top!! At least try him, or sign someone to replace him!!

I don't disagree I said a few weeks bak when Everton beat Man U that Carroll could play the Felaini role.

If nothing else it's funny watching Suarez diving about and having hissy fits

Well, same old story for Liverpool. Plenty of creativity and chances but just lacking the ability to put them away. TTFKAVP can be happy that was the case as they didn't have a lot of ideas save for the counter attack.

Sterling looked good again. Just need to be more clinical with their chances.

Hoping manure can drop some points this afternoon to perk me up a bit.

.....but that would put you in the relegation zone Joe. Lol

And that performance leaves Arsenal as the only remaining team yet to concede in all 4 divisions. Who said we need Song with as intelligent a player as Arteta sitting deep. Big performance for Diaby too!

I'm a very happy Gooner today :D

RVP my captain too.

Problem is that he is for loads of people.

Villa and Saints putting Liverpool down as things stand

Quick sack Rodgers!!! Liverpool are in the relegation zone!

Put a hedge bet on Joe - you couldn't loose lol

On todays performance, sadly, Liverpool will spend the season in the bottom half of the table. As for Arsenal, nice to see less of the tippy tappy football and a more direct approach with a solid looking defence, thanks to Stevie Bould!

Although statistically betting on Man U to win when they are losing is not really a hedge it's a guaranteed win most of the time. I always do it. I've made more money than I've lost

I'm twice as glad Arsenal won today having seen such an impressive performance from RVP. We'd be getting hell if we hadn't managed fine without him.

I'm wondering how long until the one man team abuse starts going United's way, although I don't understand how it's an insult in the first place. Better to have someone that can make the difference than no one...naming no names :naughty:

I think the real test will be in seeing how Rooney and RVP can play alongside each other. They're both so used to being the focus of a team's efforts I wonder how they're going to gel together. Fergie's the man to sort that problem if anyone can though.
