Get a grip man - we need to overcome the whole Germany thing sooner or later and we can only do that by playing them.

Are you drunk? Not every pass has been on point but that's a massive overstatement. He's also been the only one capable of holding the ball in their half, everyone else has been shocking about giving it away

He's not there to pass (where art thou Scholes and Carrick)

He's there to be a barn door (nothing wrong with that) but as I said earlier - it's only effective if midfield support rather than being glued to the defence.

I'm happy with Carroll being on the pitch now though as things are about to get desperate as I'm not confident with pens.

I hope the FA get charged for letting their spectators on the pitch again.

It's no good having someone who can pull the ball out of the air if he can't do something with it once it's on the deck. That's not to take anything away from his supporting role in defending set pieces though, he's been fantastic at that! Mind you, Rooney and young haven't exactly done any better in possession!

well we deserved to lose, ashley young should never have been on the pitch though, he was our best player through the run up to this competition but I don't think anyone will disagree he's been the worst player in it.

How did chamberlain not get another start or sub after that first match?

johnson and gerrard for me, but not gerrard in the 2nd half of this game, he was poor when we needed him to be a talisman.

Just listen to it....... Technically England are behind other countries but yet they're some of the highest paid, mmm... Food for thought I'd say

At least England fans can take a small crumb of comfort knowing their football team is just as good as Super Greece.
 
Never watched the pens - I honestly did take the dogs out.

All too easy to slag us off just now but all said and done 1/4 finals is about where I thought we'd end with the squad we took so no major complaints.

Obviously miffed though and my lovely Scottish pals are already stacking up their no doubt very witty text messages.
 
I honestly don't get why England fans get so wound up when they lose a quarter final. Italy, Germany, Argentina, Holland, Brazil, Spain etc etc etc have ALWAYS been better sides. England have never been anything other than a quarter final team when home advantage wasn't a factor. Surely yet another showing in a quarter final shows that England have met their expectations?
