If you think Kyle Walker is rubbish you should probably stop watching football, ridiculous statement (and I don't particularly like Spurs). He's the second best RB in the league behind Richards. Aguero should have walked it though. RVP was no contest for the main award.

I'd argue Bacary Sagna is the best right back in the league, and I don't think that's me being particularly biased towards Arsenal.

i dont rate walker at all, hes a liability at the back and not the best going forward either, all he has is pace.

but youve still just proved my point completely. micah richards is 23, still eligible for the young player award, so why did the 2nd best right back win it over the best right back?

i agree with RVP

walker even got into the EPL best 11! richards and sagna AT LEAST should have got in ahead of him.

Definately rate Sagna and Richards - far better than walker. How he won I will never know.

I'd say Sagan or Richards. Sagan was really good before he broke his leg and is just starting to get back into it now. It doesn't do him any favours being in arsenals shaky defence at time. Richards is the best right back fro England and I hope he's the main one for us during the euros.

Well my first post in this tread, being a Chelsea fan, I am unsure as too how things are gonna go tonight !!! Since RDM took over from AVB, he has really made an impact regardless of the outcome tonight !!

Personally, I hope Chelsea win tonight and, as a reward, all their best players are given next weekend off. :naughty:

What about Ched Evans being named in the PFA League 1 team of the year?

I'd say it was probably a PR blunder, but the amount of people who know who he was, and what the PFA team of the year is, mean it's likely not.

Certainly a bad move for the few that know his, but as you say those numbers are fairly few so there won't be much of uproar. Of course, had he not done what he's now serving a prison sentence for, he'd undoubtedly deserve that place in my opinion.

Good luck, Chelsea!

As if posting in this forum thread will help:cuckoo:

I'm looking forward to this one.

I'm hoping for a Chelsea win but if they're just hell bent on being nothing but defensive and aim to play for a clean sheet it could be a nightmare.

I'd sooner see them be a little more creative (but still defensive) as I think they can score that all important goal and (with another rub of the green) keep Barca to less than the three goals they'd need.

First goal is vital though.

Normally I'd want Chelsea to win but with it potentially stopping Newcastle getting champions league I want barca to win.

.......It will be ok though, you will win the league and have saved the embarassment, so it's largely irrelevant anyway.

Arrgh - you've set another banker up - I'll have to endure your glee if we don't win the league or endure your glee at being right if we do. :help:

Joking aside - who are you hoping goes through tonight in CL ?

I don't take that much joy in being right. I'm right do often that it becomes a bit arbitrary. :D:D

I hope Chelsea win tonight, but I do think it would be a big shame if Newcastle get fourth and don't get the chance to play CL. hard one to call. Of course they could still lose in the final. So whatever happens I'd like them to win tonight.

Have to say I hope Chelsea go out tonight so that 4th spot is open. As compensation for not supporting the national team I'd like to see them beat Liverpool in the fa cup. Haha that's how I justify my stance against them!

Glad Chelsea got that goal back before half time but John Terry - what a plonker.

What goes on in Terrys head?
That was absolutely mental

And there's 2-0 as I type, feel sorry for the rest of the team now :(

He's had a few chances, thats for sure
Not wanting to tempt fate tho

Ya dancer
Always said that laddie Torres was a good un

Messi had the lowest pass completion rate of all Barca players tonight. Shocking stat for the best player in the world. His lacklustre performance in both legs really has been Barca's downfall.

God must be a Chelsea fan, but seriously how, as soon as Terry got sent off i thought game over and nearly turned off, so glad i didnt.

Fernando Ladyboy !!!!!!!!!

Bye bye Barcelona

Fantastic result - it was like watching a nut crack a sledgehammer but well deserved in the end for effort.

Messi is overrated, often he never performs on the biggest stage or important games. Would rather have Ronaldo any day.

Great performance by Chelsea, good to see the, through although would have loved Newcastle to get the 4th CL spot.

What happens if Chelsea win it? Surely diMatteo must be given the job?

I think I **** my pants when Torres scored.

On another note, next up. City v United.

If City lose I will be one of them people they show on TV sat there in the stands crying.

I wouldn't go that far with 60 odd goals this season but if you gave me the choice between the two then Ronaldo is a far more diverse and complete player, even if he is a complete ******.

A very ugly win today but it got the job done. Tomorrow's semi-final should be good too :D

Doubt Messi would get half that in the premier league. World "best" player can't even get it on target from the pen spot?????

What happened with terry to get him the red card exactly? I was watching in the pub and all is saw was a barca player fall over him - why did he get a red card?

Messi is leagues ahead of ronaldo. Messi had a bad day today, it happens. He's still a better player than ronaldo.
