The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

One of the ex pro batteries I use in my X-H1 has suddenly died - are they still the ones most people use, and if not, what do you recommend ?
I have seen these which are so cheap and do have a usb charger which could be of use but it's certainly not an essential.

No one using anything other than OEM batteries....?

I use mainly OEM (have amassed 7 of them - across 3 cameras), but also use Ex-Pro White with no issues.
Thanks - I'm guessing these ones ?
I had hesitated slightly as I once bought a NP-W126 (ie not a NP-W126S) which has virtually no life and gives a warning.

I still get a warning with those in the X-H1, not in the X100F or X-T20. The extra 'S' performance is designed mainly for video use and a lot of fast burst shooting, if you don't do either of those then a non-S battery will work fine. I had absolutely no issues using Ex-Pro Whites in my X-T2

I’ve used these. Great performance and no warning

Thank you both, I've just ordered the last one Amazon currently have...!

Another outing with the fantastic X-H1 & 16-55mm combination...Edited in Capture One which I think I'm slowly getting to grips with!

Certainly starting to feel like one of the best camera & lens combinations I've used.

Nice. I love old Porsches. In amongst a few aircooled VW type 2's, I was the proud owner of a 1969 LHD Porsche 912 in blood orange. It's the only one I regret selling.

Oh boy! A 912 would be my dream car. Love those old school Porsches.

Something new for me and quite challenging, dark steam train travelling at speed at night!!! Only one real chance to get a shot!

I'm not normally a fan of train shots, but this is superb :)

Yes !! Love this David. Very atmospheric. Well done.

Nailed it!!

Not so sure, I did a pile of calculations on a 60mph train and expected working distance and field of view, so I knew how much movement there would be in the image for a given exposure time, (so I could work out potential pixel blur), I then went slightly safe and selected 1/1000, I now think (especially as the train was probably doing 40-50mph, it is restricted to 60mph max) I could have got away with 1/500, thus dropping the ISO to 3200 and having a little less noise......but maybe I'm being picky!!

Thanks

Very mate, very....

I would have hit it with a burst, probably, shoot a bit wide and crop to suit. Something I've come to realise with the T3 is that the files will stand some pretty severe cropping if needed, and ETTR at high ISO's works well too.
