I`m sure one of the builds you`re looking at will be able to add components, if you ask them. They can only say no, at the end of the day.

Composite images has been something I have always wanted to try but being honest I have always been slightly fearful of layer masks and brushing. Now is the time to bury that fear.
I chose a simple object and only stacked 5 images in PS.
I think I need to finesse the light transition between layers using the gradient tool but for the meantime I am happy with my first ever try.

If anyone has any tips for doing composite images I am all ears

Looks pretty damn good to me, mate.
I`ve been playing around with drop shadows (for a different thing). But putting the shadow on a seperate layer can help a fair bit.

Yeah was thinking that, but I would have to commit to buy of course, before they'll add anything extra. I'm sussing out a few very good potentials atm, but of course, with the current lock downs and all else, it makes things tougher. Not complaining, it's the way to go, I just need to match reliable seller + appreciate restrictions + possibly have to pay courier fees on top - I'm just so used to buying in person in these instances, making me a little more wary

Haha nothing too serious ... Just putting shadows on my stormtroopers ;) I had a quick play around, and it seems to work pretty well on testing. But when you put the shadow on a totally seperate layer, you have so many options as to how you want to manipulate it .

I have an i5 with a M2 ssd card plus 4TB storage sata drive 1050 gti and 16gb ram which is blindingly fast. The M2 ssd is a lot faster than the larger ssd drives. I just keep Windows and main programs, LR C1 etc on the M2 and download everything (raw files etc) to the 4TB storage.

While on lockdown (and currently crutches) my daily walks don't take me far!! A few doors down from me is a little industrial estate, I often walk in there as being on crutches I can take my time and don't have to keep stopping to 'social distance'. Today I took an X100F, and thought I'd try and process an image in a Kodak Portra 400 Style - having spent quite a bit of time recently admiring the work of Kyle McDougall

Ah no, I do appreciate the head's up :) I'm seeing a lot people chancing selling iffy gear for bloated prices too though, trying to take advantage of this situation - with more people looking to buy entertainment gear. I'm not very well versed on PC equipment but I've been doing my research and getting the gist of it all :)
