In all honesty how are the batteries on this as people saying they are poor and have to charge every night? Roughly how many images can we get out of one charge?
Again another excellent image. Do you shoot raw or jpeg and much processing pls?
So does the EVF use more than the live screen. Is poor battery down to small battery or the camera.
They do power off, but you really need to be carrying spares with you if you want to guarantee getting a shot at any given time. In other words the same as every digital camera I have owned. If I'm taking a camera somewhere that photography is important to me I've always had spare batteries with me. An extra couple of Ex-Pro batteries doesn't add much to the sytem cost and they take up very little space in the bag.
Edit to ad: I've rarely used a second battery when I'm out and about as I don't tend to shoot hundreds at a time. But I always have a couple of spare batteries and cards just in case.
Always RawRaw or JPEG

Thanks Ian and Chris. Much appreciated, good to know. I will only have one WA so want to get it right. I guess the 14 is a good all rounder. The wider apertures don't interest me really for a wide angle lens so f2.8 is fine for what i need.
You need to enable the elesctronic shutter but once it's set that's it.Very good that is... TO get that high Shutter speed do we need any extra setting turn on in menu???
Out of curiosity when you buy an xt1 do you have to install all firmware updates or can you go from 1.0 to 4.0? I presume you need to do them all?
Look like I am going to have to make a move to LR tooI shoot in aperture priority too, so I don't know. Needed the electronic shutter with how bright it was today. As for the colours that's the LR Classic chrome profile.
That good to hearFirmware can be updated to the latest version from any previous version.
