The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

Cheers Paul just goes to show what a bit of fog and the River Thames can do, in the summer its a place you can happily picnic and watch the world go by.
Bloody hell. You'd never had guessed.

I'm enjoying the Viltrox 85mm f/1.8 as a focal length/portrait lens attached to my elderly X-E1 & X-Pro1 bodies......but are there any other longer fixed portrait lenses I could be looking at without spending a fortune on the likes of the Fuji XF200/2 or the XF500/5.6....?

Any advice/experience welcome.

Still a great camera, I took the Jim Broadbent photos and black and white jetty long exposure images with the X100S. See here. The X100VI is an upgrade but it comes at cost of being larger and heavier... only slightly but I notice it. I still love the old case that was available for the S-T-F cameras.

Thanks.

For me, the X100s looks to be the sweet spot for features and price, I did consider the T for the addition of Wi-Fi but I don't very often use it on my X-T20 and most of my photos don't require the faster auto-focus, so I think I'll go with the S...

I don't think so Pete only the Fuji 90mm f2 but that's only a fraction. If you happy with MF there is a Samyang 135mm f1.8 in other mounts which works with an adaptor
Viltrox has started doing a 135 f1.8 but not in X mount yet if they do it at all.

Fuji UK are the best - I got my X-H2S back in time for Christmas! It was only picked up by DPD from the parcel shop on Thursday, had a new SD card circuit and back to me today. Great service!

I have the X-T3 and the 18-55 kit lens. I'm going to trade in for an X-T5, I'm not sure whether to go for the body only or trade the lens in too for a 16-80, Worth the extra for that lens?

All thoughts, advice very much welcomed.

Pete.
I recently did the same upgrade, if you read the reviews, its a no brainer to upgrade lens as well, not a pixel peeper, but I was told by the fuji knowledgeable staff member in LCE, that the new lens is optimised for the better sensor on the XT5, I didn't actually do the trade at LCE. Its also a lighter lens, nice bit of kit.
