The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

25th August 2017 remember this day well had the X-T20 and XF16mm on and I had been waiting for ages for folk to get off the bandstand, as I wanted to get a shot and make it look oldish and ghostly dark but still show the bandstand up.

Shot on Sunday, it was like trying to herd mice, getting the 3 of them together, especially the little one!! I know it's not great and it needs a better background etc, but it was in the lounge just after lunch...

The little one is my grandson, the other two are his half brothers.... They get on amazingly well together.

So, I'm about to launch into a "rebirth" of interest in photography using a newly-acquired X100V (more on this in my Welcome thread post), and as I've been setting it up and getting to grips with its menus and settings, I noticed today they dropped F/W 3.01.
You probably all know, but thought I'd mention it anyway. (y)

Welcome, and thanks for the reminder - going to risk updating it through the new app...

Welcome to the fun house of Fooj :)

Being new to it, I didn't know there may be a risk, so just did it anyway... :D
That said, every other camera (or lens) I've updates has been done via a SD card... (Ignorance can sometimes be bliss ;) )

Some great shots @Fuji Dave - it’s clear that your health issues have severely hampered your ability to get out and take photos which makes me very sad. Take care and hope you might be able to get out again one day.

Thank you Alan, I don't know when I will use the Fuji again as at the moment I'm having a lot of tests to try and find out what is going in my body plus another heart test.
I have decided to keep the Fuji for now, and hope sometime to maybe start using it more.

These are all on my X-T30.

I used to shoot a lot of motorsports, 15 years ago when I used Canon gear. The main series I followed was the Ma5da Racing MX-5 championship, as that was what I drove at the time.

Fast forward to 2023, I drive a Toyota MR2 Roadster, so I decided to watch the MR2 racing at one of my old haunts, Mallory Park. Naturally, I took my Fuji kit along and really enjoyed being back at a race track with my camera.

Just a heads up... New T5 firmware available (plus others) (y)

Reviewing the photos in Lightroom I could see how it was moving bits of the flower around as it drank the nectar.

I definitely want to get a macro lens now...
