The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

$799 body only for the X-T10. So just over £500 if we get the same deal. Grey market should be well into the 400's i would have thought.

16-50 kit $899
18-55 kit $1099

Google search for "X-T10" gives a result for a WEX pre-order at £499. Page doesn't exist when you follow the link, but the page must be prepared to go live.

And all this after me deciding to keep the X-E2. Might have to change it to the X-T10 now.

I see there is an £80 bonus for selected Fuji CSC's... Maybe the X-E2 will be one of them and you can do it that way? Might be better than trying to flog it privately due to the refurb price they sell at...

Looking forward to the X-T10 launch, if AF is equal to X-T1 v4 they're onto a winner in my opinion.

It's more likely to be the same bonus that's on just now, an extra £80 for selected Canon.Nikon bodies. But fingers crossed as Wex have already offered me £270 for the X-E2 this week.

"Pre-Order Now! £80 Trade-In Bonus When Trading In Selected Fuji CSC"

I know, but I don't want to get my hopes up!
It would seem a strange promotion for Fuji to run though, People with Fuji CSC's have already bought into the system. What they want is more canon, Nikon users switching over.

I know what you are talking about. Sometimes I would struggle to acquire focus with my 55-200 attached to my xt1 when shooting birds in the woods, although it can see the bird in the frame (mid sized focus point in the centre) it will still try to focus on the branches behind. I just put it down to partly user error partly limitations of a mirrorless system.

Maybe it was because it was a crow in the shade? I know the 5D3 would latch on to it in an instant. Maybe I've just got to accept the differences and enjoy it for all the other benefits

They probably 'were' in stock...

Snooze

Looze

For some reason the 16 doesn't interest me. No idea why. The 14 seems more appealing to me. Maybe I'm weird.

Yeah. I'd agree with that..... You are weird.

Still you would hope to get more than £80 for an X-E2

Ahh I see, could never figure why you would trade in any fuji CSC for £80 or in the last promotion £100.

On a previous promotion I got £250 trade in for a Canon 500D body which I was struggling to sell for £150.

Cracking shot btw

I thought of that post when putting this up..believe me, I used to be at a circuit somewhere much, much more pre-baby! I think I managed 40 events in a year once, only been to 5 this year!

I wonder if it will be? I wonder if they'll leave the AF as is for the time being, reason being if they give the XT-10 the same whistles and bells internally as the X-T1 then it's got a chance of taking sales from it.

All supposition and I guess there's factors involved, how far off X-Pro2 is, how much profit Fuji make from each model and whether they can get away with current AF given its supposed 'limitations'.

No real substance to this, just thinking aloud.

I think they would add the faster focusing on the X-10 and the new X-pro,I not sure about an update for the XE-2 I hope they will add the new focusing to the XE-2

I've bit the bullet and ordered one. Don't usually like grips, but I've developed a shoulder problem which limits arm movement (including the ability to lift a pint) so we'll see. It's quite a long lead time - minimum 12 days - so I presume it's coming from the foreign.
Further to this, my grip was waiting for me today, when I returned from a weeks hol in the Yorkshire Dales. Sods Law I didn't have it before I went away! Anyway, it's a well-made bit of kit, with positive controls and a nice grippy cover. The on-off lock is particularly positive and not likely to be knocked. Although I've not yet been out with it, it seems to work as promised. It fits the hand nicely and isn't too cumbersome, unlike Olympus grips. I haven't tried the wireless remote yet.

Might pick a knock off grip up then!

So, went out looking for trees in fields and ended up at a cricket match. Thought i'd give the new lens a work out along with the camera in continous focus mode and shooting in continuous high mode... Wow. Impressive! :D The new firmware really is going to make this camera a little pocket rocket! I do wish the 50-140 was a proper 70-200 though. Just need that little more reach.

Super impressed with the camera, it never put a foot wrong! Took about 150 shots and they are all useable all be it a bit samey.

Love number 6 with the golden light catching the dust.

I imagine few have tried the X-T1 / 50-140 in anger (i.e. CH and AF-C), but it really is quite impressive to experience, so so close to a DSLR operationally. I'm aching for more reach, the 100-400 arriving really will be like Christmas and Birthday all rolled into one!

@minnnt how do you mean you wish the 50-140 was a proper 70-200? It's equivalent to 210mm at the long end. You need a 400mm for cricket.

Great shot @bazfoster. Strange but I have just commented on another thread regarding a blown sky and how much I dont like it but here it works very well.
