The Amazing Sony A1/A7/A9/APS-C & Anything else welcome Mega Thread!

i am vegetarian. I don't normally use quorn or similar stuff. may be once or twice in last 6 months.
I like its taste but at the same time I don't get people who go vegetarian and rely a lot on quorn. I have been vegetarian since birth and it didn't exist then.

I’m posting this with a heavy heart.

As much as I love photography, and everything that comes with it...this is taking up too much of my time. I am struggling to keep up with the everyday basics of cleaning and cooking and maintaining our home, so something has to give. I have decided to get rid of my gear.

Below is a list of what's available. Serious inquiries only, and please don't insult me with low offers.

Thanks for reading and understanding...
1. Wet/Dry Vac
2. Dustpan and brush
3. Mop and bucket
4. Mop and Shine
5. Windex
6. Laundry detergent
7. Leaf rake
8. Broom

That's what I don't get, vegetarians that want something to taste of meat.
I eat a lot of meat free food, but because I enjoy vegetables.
Homemade paneer, beetroot and chickpea burgers yes please.

In the earlier part of my life the only meat I ate was mince meat and sausages as times were hard and my family had very little. We did have fish and chips now and again though, I remember having them as a teenager. It was only when I started working that I had the chance to eat meat and treated myself to sausage sarnies and even steaks but when mad cow came into view I stopped and now the only dead animal I eat is fish now and again. I can't actually remember the first time I had a burger, I was probably in my 20's or 30's, I think at a barbeque somewhere.

Mrs WW used to eat meat but since coming to the UK she at first cut down on the red and white meat and has now stopped. She does eat fish and eggs.

I'll take the Broom. Is it a Sony? I don't mind if it was a grey import from e-infinity and if there's no warranty.
Dustpan and brush could be useful if I need to clean the sensor.

Can I have the Laundry detergent please, save me buying any wet sensor cleaning so it will come in handy for a quick clean :D

I'll take the mop and bucket.
I'd ordered one for the wife for Christmas but it didn't turn up....

Well, this is something new. Curved sensor enters mass production...

That’s a bit rich - the wife not turning up for Christmas

How are people doing for cards? Less than ever this year for us with people turning more to ecards and social media. I prefer a card, hand written and posted.

PS.
And damn the cost.

We've given out/posted the same as usual but have received a lot less.
Messages from some saying they've donated to charity instead of sending cards...

We have got about the same amount as usual but a lot of them are moonpig etc rather than hand written and posted.

Yup. I/we sent the same.

Thinks about this... actually we've sent more than last year.

About the same as usual. Maybe reducing as friends and relatives die.

There's bound to be a bit of that as time does move on but some are replaced with new friends... I think we're still down even taking into account the die or drift off factors with IMO the electronic options being to blame.

I do like to see the ecards, I suppose, as some of them are nice but on the whole I do prefer a traditional card. That's another pet hate of mine, traditional cards and by that I mean Christian / religious or vagally so cards or even just traditional scene picture and message cards or even just Santa ones are getting rarer with many now IMO having little connection to Christmas.

Not here. A lovely sunny morning for a change. There is more cloud than predicted, but at least there is no rain!
Clear blue skies and bright sunshine. The Settle Raincloud has temporarily disappeared. (Settle, where rainclouds come home to cry)

It's stopped now.

Anyway. This TT artisans 50mm f1.4 looks interesting...

The similar 35mm doesn't get reviewed so well...

I have a M mount adapter, one of the close focus helicoid ones, with nothing to use with it.

Sorry, it's a Canon. Heavy, doesn't shift dust, and I bought it used from Hogwarts.

Brexit deal apparently done, a little private pension to look forward too, Mrs WW getting better and better at cooking. What could go wrong? :D Well, I may be having an op on my right foot soon :(

A Merry Christmas and hopefully a Happy New Year and 2021 to all! :D

PS.
Will anyone be logging on and buying anything photography related in the new year?

I might buy something but I don't know what yet. I should sell some film era primes I only use once in a blue moon but even if anyone is interested they'll probably just offer buttons as that seems to be how the for sale section seems to go these days.

Just ordered a shoulder pad for my Billingham bag. Not a genuine one, you understand, but one of China’s best. Last of the big spenders, me. :p

I have a couple of Billinghams. I've started using this one.

I still fancy that lens, and I've had the Peak Design wrist strap in my basket for a while so if that gets a discount I'm having it, so expensive for what it is.

Shame the likes of E-INFINITY don't sell the voigtlander lenses.

Same, looks like decent weather, perfect conditions for fog here.

I bought my Voigtlander 50mm f2 from Camerainthepost as they were hard to get in the UK. It all went very smoothly.
