Well, what a day! I've never been so full :D

Best present I got was a pair of lenses, Nikon AI-S 35mm f2.8 and 85mm f2. I found them, bought them and wrapped them up in Christmas wrapping paper but they were then handed to me as a present :D

I also got a bottle of Sauvage (smellies for men) off two different people. Maybe they're trying to tell me something :D

I took a lot of pictures as Mrs WW needs some to send to family and friends overseas, A7 and Sony 35mm f1.8.

They must think of you as a smelly lens collector.

I must be a smelly, chocolate eating, drinker who needs some new socks. The funny thing is, I'm not that much of a drinker really.... ;) :ROFLMAO:

Oh I definitely smell but the jury is out on weather it's a good smell or not. I've always used man smellies but this Sauvage stuff is a bit too smelly, imo. I prefer something a bit more subtle. It has its fans though. Mrs WW's brother once asked what I was wearing as I smelled nice (he's straight and married!)

I used to be able to outdrink pretty much anybody but these days my limit is maybe 3 glasses of wine and that's not enough to affect my photography :D

I got whisky, deodorant and a nose waxing kit.
Make of that what you will.

I got a magnifying glass. Not sure if it’s for my use or Mrs L’s ...

new M1 Mac air
and box of Ferrero rocher

The issue with the base model with only 8GB RAM is that its not enough for LR which constantly tries to use 10-12+GB RAM. So while loading and exporting is fast, it barely stresses the processor or heats up my Mac the lack of RAM causes it slow down :-/
What the experience has taught me is to wait for the 32GB version of the new apple silicon Macs before buying my own. the overall experience isn't much worst than the iMac I sold so I can work with this for now.
But the battery life is amazing - 6 hours of use (2.5 hours of it was a movie in bed with missus) and I still have 84% battery left

I got a pair of socks that said don’t panic I am a photographer on them, a couple of bottles of my favourite dark rum, a ton of car cleaning stuff including a wet and dry vacuum cleaner, Along withe usual novelty mugs and odds and ends that will go in the back of the cupboard never to be seen again.

Me and my missus decided early doors not to buy each other this year as our Christmas budget was hit pretty hard with covid and we wanted to make sure the kids didn’t miss out.

Moon in a Ferris Wheel

Actually, it's a white wheel but in order to bring out the moon and sky it's turned black. Oh well, I guess it's kind of abstract. :D

I use a Harry's razor and often get the Harry's toiletries as presents but when left to myself I buy the ASDA branded toiletries as they're cheap and they do the job :D

I do think 85mm gets stuck with that 'portrait lens' label.

Nice images :)

I like the longer perspective for out and about pictures but they tend to be much less useful for detail pictures and the range of focusing when fitted with a close focus adapter is generally thin. A compact 85/90/100mm macro would be nice :D

Updated post with ‘Sony E mount’ along with terms and conditions.

Park have the same offer so I’m guessing it’s a Sony offer rather than one put on by the store themselves.

Picked up the Sony 100-400 this morning from Park Cameras, making use of the 10% plus further £100 Sony rebate in 30 days time.

I've promised myself that is it for lenses ;)

Great lens, been very happy with mine. The only annoyance is lens creep, still not sure why they didn't put a lock on it

Yes does seem a bit odd on a lens this expensive not to have it. I was going to increase the tension collar when storing

Absolutely determined to get out at first light tomorrow morning for a walk.
Got a river and two canals to walk along, forest to walk through and some long abandoned buildings to check out.
Every time I've planned it something has come up.

I think the missus is planning a day out with her two daughters or something.

I might set the alarm early myself regardless of the weather. I've just re-proofed my jacket & backpack anyway ;) Instead of ham rolls & fruit, I might have to take mince pies & chocolate...... ;) :ROFLMAO:

It looks to be quite a good deal. It’s a shame it’s only for Sony lenses as I’m thinking of the tamron 28-200 as an all in one lens for hiking. It’s a shame the Sony version (24-240) is a bit rubbish. If there was a good Sony 24-200 version of similar quality to the Nikon I’d be all over it.

Something that's on my list for early this year is sorting out a small day rucksack something 26lt or so, and an insert for it for the camera.
At the minute the smallest rucksack I have is 46lt and no waterproof camera bag.

But yes I'm getting ready to go out around 07:30 to catch first light, I'll set off out as soon as I can see where I'm going.
