The Amazing Sony A1/A7/A9/APS-C & Anything else welcome Mega Thread!

This year will be a quiet one with no travelling or going into central London on Christmas morning.

2020 has been interesting, I have changed my mind about a lot of things. Overall feel it was a s*** year, but since it's the season to be thankful I am grateful that my bank balance is looking healthy and many nice cameras came out this year.

I bought my Voigtlander 50mm f2 from Camerainthepost as they were hard to get in the UK. It all went very smoothly.
They don't sell it. They have the similar MK3 but it's now expensive from them.

If we keep it local. And we're back home by 9:30. Maybe 10:00 at the latest. We should get away with it ;) :ROFLMAO:
Not so for me, parents are coming round at 08:30 for bacon butties and to watch the little guy open his presents.
Hmm how light is it at 08:00?

Happy Christmas all

I was going to buy Sony 100-400 lens, but going into tier 4 on Boxing Day there is now no rush, so will wait I think.

I have a couple of Billinghams. I've started using this one.

I keep buying bags, but always come back to my Packington. Had it for at least 15 years but you couldn’t tell.

Ffordes have all the Sony fit ones in stock, as well as the VM mount ones.

Really when I search only the 35 f1.4 comes up.

Never mind search is broken. Same £849 as Wex.

I'm bodyless, now on the hunt for an A9 or A9ii but rumours of the A9iii coming soon.

I'd not come across these. It looks nice, maybe bigger than my Hadley small.

I went for the Sony mount ones as they've redone them for the thicker Sony filter stack thingy. The Sony mount 35mm f1.4 is much better than the M mount one I had on my A7 and I've read that the Sony 40mm f1.2 is better on Sony than the M mount one. I don't think there is a M mount version of the 50mm f2 Pro Lanthar.

Happy Christmas.

Just in case anyone is thinking of a Sony E mount lens WEX have a 10% off code for today and tomorrow.

I’m not sure if it works with cashback too (I guess it should) but may be worth a look if you tend to purchase a lens. With 10% off and cashback a 200-600 for example would be £30 cheaper than efinity!

It's not E-mount it's just Sony stuff. Ie didn't work on a Voigtlander e-mount lens.

Updated post with ‘Sony E mount’ along with terms and conditions.

Park have the same offer so I’m guessing it’s a Sony offer rather than one put on by the store themselves.
You got my hopes up, it was just the push I needed and was about to press buy. Lol

Well, what a day! I've never been so full :D

Best present I got was a pair of lenses, Nikon AI-S 35mm f2.8 and 85mm f2. I found them, bought them and wrapped them up in Christmas wrapping paper but they were then handed to me as a present :D

I also got a bottle of Sauvage (smellies for men) off two different people. Maybe they're trying to tell me something :D

I took a lot of pictures as Mrs WW needs some to send to family and friends overseas, A7 and Sony 35mm f1.8.
