It's been rumored and rumored again but maybe this time something impressive may be on the way in response to the much rumored and leaked Canon thingy. If something exciting comes I'm sure I won't be buying anytime soon but it'll be interesting reading the reviews.

It could be a few things I guess A7SIII, A7IV or just a new high end bridge camera they seem to update those quite regularly.

Can't see me looking at buying another camera any time soon, would have to be something spectacularly different in terms of spec.
 
I don't think it will be a flag ship camera as the a9mkII is quite new unless they have a new 40mp sensor for it that would make it a perfect birding camera and would be of interest to me .

Yeah very unlikely they are only saying high end because it has 5.1ghz wifi but I would imagine every apsc, full frame camera will have that going forward.


When they say high end they aren't talking about pro cameras just that it won't be a compact camera etc.
 
The main thing is it'll be something interesting to read about while I'm sat here...
 
Just a quick question about the A7r3 - it comes with a nice battery charger but can I charge it via a USB port with a generic micro usb lead ?

Yes there is - i just wanted to check that you could use any lead - if i remember right the A73 comes with a little box to attach to the lead ?

nice shot. thinking of going to 35-75-135 instead of 35-85-135. The FE85/1.8 is really a great lens so it'll take some convincing for me to move.

Yep same, 135 is my all time favourite focal length and this would pave the way for that.

No issues here, shot a wedding in the dark with Samyang AF 35/85mm 1.4s earlier this year. But I also like the FE 50mm 1.8, according to this thread it's not worthy of being used as a doorstop!

They come with both the usb charger and the mains charger so does the A9, A9II and A7RIV.

I have two and no issues with either.

I thought they did. The A7RIV, A9 and the A9II come with the Sony external mains charger and the usb charger you get with the A7III.

Positive, the A7 has never come with a dedicated charger.
 
The A7III only has a charger that plugs into the side of the camera (PITA).

No I didn’t I said that the A7RIII came with both chargers the mains charger and the usb one that you get with the A7III.
