I'm getting more and more into street photography and finding the a9 doesn't suit me for this discipline (I'm sure the camera is fine, it's just me who doesn't feel right with it on the street).
I think i know what you mean

I was considering an A6500 as back up to my A7iii but ended up getting a used Fuji X100F off of this site. It is a great camera to use for street photography ...
This is a good shout.... the Fuji X100 series is a great street camera. I have been tempted to pick one up but again holding out for now.
would be if that lens wasn't soft wide open![]()
I know, hopefully Fuji change this in the next version..... I would have liked a zoom lenswould be if that lens wasn't soft wide open![]()

Yep..... that's twice now I put it up for sale then had a change of heart...... its a nice small package vs IQ and it actually fit in a pocket. The Fuji X100 isnt a pocket camera, especially with the hoot mounted on it.so did you decide not to sell the RX100 again?
Sony A7 with Fuji X100 by Rizvan Hussain, on FlickrThey have asked UPS to open investigation so just waiting to see what they say now. It’s not really Panamoz error. They sent it specifically requesting a signature on delivery.

I know mmmmm I do think the digital TC option on the 100F is good, not tried it personally though so see if it massively affects IQ.zoom lens kind of goes against what the x100 range is designed for.

I am resisting buying anything more in terms of bodies... may still move on the Sony RX100 III then just wait to see what Sony's next APS-C body is like.didn't use it when i had one. i think it may only work in jpeg -not sure.
i think they should have updated the lens and expect them to definitely do so for the next one. saying that - i only found it soft when focusing close up.
There was a rumour that Twist was hanging around the airportThe A7R3 I ordered from Panamoz has gone missing. Happy days. They were meant to stop delivery and send it straight back to sender but it looks like they just left it somewhere without any type of signature.

The next Fuji X100 may also include a big step forwards.....
stacked sensor on the next apsc. probably gimp on the body design though
Welcome to the dark side...Goodbye Canon! (Kinda)
Hello Sony
Last night I pulled the trigger on an A7R3, 24-70 f/2.8 GM, 100-400 GM
Can't wait to have a proper play about with them
What I really want is a Sony RX1RII, that is my pocket camera dream. The problem is the price, that price is insane…can’t justify it for work because for work I don’t need that size but for travel that is amazing…..so it is very hard to justify £3k camera as a “hobby”, and a 1 trick pony with that 1 lens, but that is also my favourite lens !!!
Why don’t they make that lens separately for the A7? 35mm F/2.0 ! The same sensor, the flange distance should be the same to the elements, put a mount on it.
I have a gut feeling Sony will bring out a FE 35mm f1.8 eventually

If you haven't use mirrorless before maybe the exposure and focusing aids will be a nice surprise for you![]()

From what I remember reading the RX1's lens is a lot closer to the sensor hence you can't just put an FE mount on the lens and mount it on an A7, you'd need a corrective lens in the mount too.
Just on the long running 35mm f1.8/2 thing... Although I'd love to see one I think the days of compact f1.8/2 lenses are very possibly long gone as making a compact one leads to optical compromises, discussions about bokeh, the gnashing of teeth on forums and the internet melting and despite what we think manufacturers do listen and they wont want a tidal wave of criticism. I think if and when we see an Sony/Sigma/whoever 35mm f1.8/2 it'll not be all that compact but it will be quite good.
I like my Voigtlander 35mm f1.4 and it's quite compact but it has no AF or IS and people whinge about the optical performance and the bokeh, the Loxia is f2 quite compact and a lot more expensive but it too apparently has some optical compromises particularly at wider apertures, there are reasons why the good 35mm f1.x lenses are big fat lumps.
canon EF 35mm f2 IS USM is not a big fat lump.
They are the worst courier service ever. They somehow manage to loose even signed for deliveries. Home office uses them and they managed to loose the passport that was supposed to be signed for. The investigation is absolutely useless and will turn up nothing. The worst courier company ever. Pigeons would be more reliable!!
So Panamoz have asked UPS to open a case to investigate. I wonder how long this will drag out for!
I hope you get it sorted soon but just so you know, I had UPS damage an item in transit recently, they opened and investigation and the hole thing went on for months!
I guess in your case, you can always ask Panamoz to send you another one and then they can wait/deal with UPS and the missing camera?

No it isn't but from what I've read it's soft in the corners until you stop it down quite a bit.
If that's the case I'd very probably still be happy but others probably wouldn't be.
No, I made sure I was reading the correct reviews. Other reviews and opinions may varythat's the old non-IS version. The new version is sharp from wide open
