50mm -if its the one i think it is its very loud in operation. worth looking into.
24-105 - see Chris comments
70-200 f4 -didnt you have this before? its excellent. very sharp.

ps get the zeiss 55mm
 
Yes I have had the 70-200 F4 that whey I put it on the list as I loved that lens just deciding if I need 2.8 or not....
I prob will end up with a 55mm Zeiss again I know how it perform as had one..

Looking around for them now used as might start building the lens collections ready LOL

More like canon are market leaders and nikon are jus rubbish and selling less then Sony nowadays lol. Dump your d750 for the 6d2 and that has outsold your rubbish d750 hehe ;)

No it doesn't work with eye af. That only works for me a9 and r3

yes i remember you saying. i thought the same and was raving about it until....it didn't. i used it to cover a charity day and it just randomly failed to acquire focus on static subjects indoors. not all the time. 90% of the time it was great. but that 10% of the time when it didn't work like a native lens i missed shots. important shots.

I did enjoy the Sony when I had it. Liked the mirrorless and live view etc. But now the A7 iii coming it seems to ticks all boxes for me.

If I went D850 it would cost me £1800 then another lens.

Am thinking it all throughly.

I won't be happy if its priced at £2K. All prices went up previously since the value of GBP went down from ~1.5x to ~1.3x for $. but since value of GBP has risen back halfway up to ~1.4x for $...

Using metabones?

I did my cousins wedding and it diddnt fail on me. But most of the time I've used it for portraits or street

no price of A7III, all manufacturers were all too quick to put prices up but they don't seem so keen bringing them down now :mad:

A7III at Park are showing £2k and £2,200 for kit lens

Wex latest price for 24-70 is up to £2k
 
Its actually £200 cheaper to buy from BHphoto and pay the import taxes+international shipping. This is retarded.

I've tried metabones 4 and sigma mc11. metabones was less reliable. sometimes wouldn't even register the lens was connected.
mc11 is what let me down on the shoot. shame. out of the time it was very good. but not 100%

I think this will be the one that sparks them into action. Relatively affordable and a match for most things they can offer on higher end models.

For me though I think the cost is still going to be too much vs D750.

D750 plus 24-120 + 18-35mm + 70-300 AF-S + 50mm 1.8g will come to around £2100 (some of it used)

If instead I got the:

A7III + 24-105mm + 16-35mm + 70-300mm - 50mm 1.8 it would come to around £4500-£5000. Admittedly the Sony glass is better in most cases but not by ground breaking amounts.

I haven't given it a good run out yet. my Amsterdam trip got canned last night which is a shame as i hoped to give it a run out over there. i now have tomorrow as holiday so will try and give it a good test then. few shots around the house it seems very sharp.

But the body isnt.... and would you notice the difference between the kit lenses under normal viewing.

was never case before, it was roughly the same to import from US and pay import tax or just buy here. In fact it was actually a little bit expensive to import from US because of handling fee and international shipping costs. But now its cheaper after all that since value of £ has gone up and $ has gone down (courtesy of Trump)
