Good to see the more advanced features via adapter. The a7rii is on my want list but it's so bloody expensive..... and Ive lost so much money using Sony over the years through depreciation... just got to be patient. I hate being patient.

Is there anything stopping them releasing a Nikon adapter like this ???? Obv I'm a canon guy and not stirring just obv Metabones etc and now sigma seem concentrated on the canon ef lenses
Ah I see ..... Just wondered ...thanks for the info![]()
Also Nikon still control aperture from the body, so your otherwise purely electronic adapter suddenly needs motors and stuff adding in to operate the aperture lever. For Nikon's own lenses, even a lot of current models also need an AF motor in the body to autofocus the lens too.Yes. Nikons af protocol is very complicated. Sigma af is a copy of canons design.
Is there any other kind?I've seen Steve Huff's glowing report
Lol the huffster sure does love Sony now.... not long ago he was all LeicaIs there any other kind?![]()

I think he still does love Leica but always says that he only reviews kit he likes to shoot himself. I prefer his reviews to dull ones going through MTF charts and micro-contrast though :0)

Shame about that Sony announcement. Oh well, there'll be something along sooner or later but we're coming to the end of the first quarter now so if this year is going to be better than last they'll have to get a move on![]()
Only when I get the A9 / A7RIIISo, who here is selling an a7rii cheap?

I only came across this by accident but from what I remember there were a few minor niggles covered and not just as the official Nikon page.
A bit like car manufacturers calling cars in for one thing and doing several things while they've got it, reputation and damage limitation maybe. Still just minor things though. And it was good to see a manufacturer put the recall in place so quickly.
I do have a little gas... waiting for my used 12-35mm f2.8 to arrive (don't know if I'll like it so not paying £700 for one) for MFT, going to take it on holiday also keep looking at A6000. There's been some bargain Sony APS-C's and lenses in the classifieds and I'm constantly tempted to buy into the A6000 series and move away from MFT. Developments in MFT land seem painfully slow to me and stuff I've been waiting years for still isn't available. Currently waiting for auto ISO with the ability to dial in exposure compensation in all modes, still not available AFAIK with any Panasonic body. Would also like the constant preview of the Sony's. Panasonic cameras seem stone age now after using my A7.
Sigma is releasing a few new lenses bruvThe only thing that's stopping me buying into the A6000 series is the relatively lacklustre lens line up. The 24mm f1.8 makes the package too bulky to fit in the small bag any of my three cameras will fit in (G1, GX7, A7 all fit in the same bag when fitted with a compact lens, the G1 just fits) but sadly I can't see Sony bringing out a more compact 35mm equivalent lens so for me it would mean going for the 20mm f2.8. I know it's only a few mm off the 35mm equivalent focal length but it's much nearer 28mm than 35 and personally I much prefer the 35mm end. One advantage is that for occasional use I could use my FE 55mm though but MFT despite having (IMO) relatively lacklustre bodies has a nice lens line up. Shame that Sony suffers from weakness in lenses and MFT suffers weakness in bodies.
