shoehorn required for your Active ;) but it's a fascinating plant nicely captured.

Life is just a bowl of cherries is a top idea for an uninspiring theme. Those that say it's slightly OOF and a little floaty may have a point, offer constructive crit, but I like it.

Thanks d00d, yes, as mentioned above I do agree with the crit and it's always welcome, I'm annoyed with myself because I knew it was OOF but I hoped it would get away with a slight sharpen. I may try it again sometime.with some cherries at the side that appear to have fallen off, that might give it a bit of grounding

Hahaaa and I thought my Pollen collecting was a slow activity :D

BUT to be fair, I think it works, love the plant, composition, background and framing, nicely lit too, so 9/10 from me

Life - Now yes like this, again I like your framing, and the shiny cherries stand out beautifully in the bowl with the dark background... spot on

Thanks DK .....much appreciated :)

I really like the feel to your cherry shot - I would have gone for something light and summery but this works so well.

Thanks Emma .... I do have a tendency to head for these dark backgrounds.

Gosh makes you want to reach out and grab one ! Lovely ! Nicely lit ! Great idea !

Thanks Chris (y)

That is a beautiful macro Susie - great use of DoF. I've been fascinated by them since childhood - nature gives us such marvellous things to delight at.

Yet another fab take on a theme from you Susie. You are consistently good no matter what the challenge is :clap::clap:

Hate to be disagreeable but I think I would like a bit more DoF so that more of the trap is in focus. That said I really like the concept for the theme and the colours

Thanks Carl ...they certainly are fascinating plants.

Is it a triffid? ;)
Nicely taken shot. I'm torn between wanting more in focus and the lovely blurred background.

Thanks Tim...they act as if they're triffids :) ...I took quite a few but I liked this one best.

Ooh that's another very lovely shot, Susie - the dof is perfect for me. Like Carl I remember being fascinated by these as a child.

Thanks Emma :)

Very nicely taken Susie really like the DOF

Thank you Mark (y)

Thank you Jill, it's really nice of you to say that :)

Thanks Chris, no probs, we all like different things, ...I had a lot to choose from but I liked the fine spider web threads on this one.

Oooooo look at the teeth on that :O

Liking that Susie, good background and plenty enough DoF to give the image impact for me :)

Thanks DK :) much appreciate you looking in.

Very nice susie, and Hidden Danger is an interesting approach to the theme. I can understand those who find the focal point too shallow, but this works just fine for me.

Works well for me too Suzy, fascinating plants indeed

GULP! - It does look scary up there - lone indeed. Interesting structure.

Hidden - Great idea for the them and a lovely macro shot with the sharp and soft detail.
Lone -Wow that does look scary and certainly fits the theme and a nicely composed shot with lots of detail.

OMG - definitely a more dramatic view Susie. Prefer this one for that reason.

An interesting activity, the second one captures it better I think, I sometimes have to work at height in work don't know if its something I would do for pleasure

good idea for the theme, I like your thought process its not always obvious

its grim ooop north isn't it :)

Second one for me Susie, there is no way you would get me up that for sure ! and people pay for the pleasure ! Bloomin mad

Thanks Allan @alsjazzera , I do try to think of something a bit different.
Grim .....never :cool:Actually I'd love a week up here with my camera, I keep seeing some great sights but can't keep saying 'stop the car' :(

It must be in the name, it makes my testicles retract all the way to my throat, just looking at that!

Second one for me Susie :)

I can see why you posted the first, being right on the end of that beam must feel like a lonely place.

Really like No2 Susie gives a true sense of scale and is a more dramatic image for me.

I'd have a go at that!

Hidden - a fascinating plant indeed I quite like the shallow dof.
Lone - Brave girl, certainly would feel alone all they way up there.

#2 for lone! I like to see more of the dangerous looking structure.
