Straying off topic, thread evolver

I had an idea someone would like that true story :)
Indeed, its a warming story, certainly chuckle worthy
and put the OT in her (his?) place too (y)

"oooh yes, aaaah, harder!" I said as she frantically pulled, then came the moment of relief.
"Ahhhhh, now to get the other wellie off" I said

No fiber to the cabinet out there ;)
I know they are "Indian givers" as per the thread, it has said "Available"
However I just checked and guess what ? .... latest update is now July 24th!

We've always used the expression "Chinese giver" meaning the same thing, but having just googled it I find the expression doesn't exist even though it has to be over 50yrs old at the very least.

Probably has another meaning.
Did your Dad ever work away in China? ;) (or in a laundry maybe)

i might pop along to the market in a bit ,needs some whatjamacallits

I went down there this morning and bought the last one.
Bah, I wondered who bought the last one. I bought a bag of Beansprouts instead. Missus said she will have a Chinese for tea instead. She is not that keen on Japanese food anyway!

Thanks for that, you just reminded me I have a bag of Maltesers in the fridge. Just noticed I still have a roll of film left also. But no last rolo, think the missus took care of that.
You shouldn't put chocolate in the fridge because it spoils the taste.

Are you sure you are spelling that right? I normally shorten it to wotsits. Probably explains why my missus is fed up of steak and chips, with a side ordering of cheesy puffs !

the last staged shot i saw had calamity jane riding on it into the sunset  really need to stop indulging in all this stupidity before i go round the chubby checker

That was terrible :(
Is she still as good with the whip though? this is the question...

I was down there earlier, for the same reason, but your'll be pleased to hear they do have thing-a-me-bobs on special at the moment though

What about doohickeys and discombobulators?

Steve.

Not to my knowledge. He served in India in the war though. Perhaps it's just a regional thing. I have heard loads of people refer to it a Chinese giver. Only time I heard the term as Indian giver was in a song by The Rainmakers.

Did he ever appear in a Chinese laundry in a British pantomime?
Have you ever played the front end of a pantomime horse?
No?

Have you ever played the back end of a pantomime Horse?
No?

So what you are saying is, all your life, you have been no end of an Ass

:D
