No they are not. Thongs are strips of leather like laces that were used for whipping and tying things up, or items of womens underwear.

I did the same thing but with socks from TM Lewin. They're all stick the same shade of black. I guess M&S quality isn't what it used to be...Arrrrrrrrrrh ! I went down the road of buying a supply of "identical" black socks from M&S. I now have a drawer full of socks that are all different.
