Solve one of mankind's problems

Any man wearing sandals, flip flops, crocs etc. needs shooting.
Oh dear.

This is me (1) pottering around this morning before I got dressed, and (2) ready to go to work.

In my defence I would argue that (A) I only wear the Crocs indoors, and (B) The Vibrams are waaaaaaay cool.

I did the same thing but with socks from TM Lewin. They're all stick the same shade of black. I guess M&S quality isn't what it used to be...

You are right about M&S quality. Possibly explains how they have slid downhill in their market position.

TM Lewin socks £6 per pair
M&S cotton rich £15 per 3 pairs or £22.50 for 6 pairs.

Plus TM Lewin (and Charles Tyrwhitt - my other go-to people for work clothes) nearly always have offers on. They're like DFS - no-one ever buys full-price 'cos you know a promotion is only 2 weeks away. Pretty sure I paid less than £6 a pair!

What's wrong with knowing your country is great?

Just gets a bit tiresome after being told a few times, lived out there for a few years and agree with them though, great place.

Costco Pringle dress socks, much better quality and price :) Or ask granny to knit them b

If a Costco opens in the Square Mile I'll be there!

That just looks so, so wrong, as for B, are you appearing in a cheap Planet of the Apes production? ;)

As for socks, I'm mainly in trainers so wear white sports socks. I think it's 10 pairs for £6 in Sports Direct. Easily matched and cheaply replaced.

Oh yes they are ;) bit of cultural awareness wouldn't go amiss.
Realisation that they look bloody ridiculous wouldn't go amiss neither ;)
Not only do they look wrong but they also create one of my pet hates, people that walk slow and won't/can't get out of the way.

Nothing to do with thongs, if people want they can do that anyway.

Out of interest was do you wear in the summer then when it is hot? Easy to slip on and off and doesn't get ruined in the see.

Ps. People wear and look differently. Heck some even drive cara others don't like, or are only suitable for those 30 years younger ;)

A quick snap of mine while on PC, no not too big for me just not painted my nails lol

Can't say I've ever been in the sea with anything on my feet. I wear trainers all year round apart from when at work where I have to wear steel toe capped boots. Around the home it's socks or bear feet. As for cars, your right I can't help what your family has chosen for you or has told you is fitting, me personally I chose what I drive myself. ;)

And probably made somewhere like Pakistan by eight years old kids who work 16 hour days for a quid a week ;)
Just sayin'

I wear my Trainers very sparingly, not good to keep them on too long . My steel to capped boots when I am doing tough jobs. But most of the time got to be my Clarks Moccasins, best shoes I have ever owned, deffo money well spent. Around house, gotta be bare feet ( Bear feet, hairy feet maybe ? )

Trainers, trainers? Pleb, although it doesn't surprise me. ;)

Cant say trainers do it for me as every day wear. I wear them when playing sports or going running. Then again I don't wear thongs everyday either. For work it is definitely leather soled dress shoes as the norm with matching coloured socks. Unless the occasion demands differently.

Casual totally depends on what I am doing, varying from comfortable hush puppie desert boots, via classic timberlands, through to loafers, and finishing with wellies (well not wellington but that is beyond the point) when on the land. Most definitely not trainers.

When summer is here and shorts are out it varies again on the occasion and company which can include sandals, boatshoes, thongs or nothing. Definitely not trainers.

Heck that is just my shoes, my wife and daughters have even more variations. But no, no trainers for everyday wear that is for plebs ;)

Clarks.....still awesome.
I can still remember being properly fitted for school shoes there....and still buy their shoes.

Invariably if I'm not at work, where it has to be steel toe caps, I'll be in or on my way to/from the gym, so for that it has to be trainers. Plus, trainers are the most comfortable barring racing shoes/boots to drive in. Only other footwear I use is a pair of basketball boots. As for dress shoes, I do have a pair but solely (pun not intended) for weddings, funerals and an interview. I believe they have been worn twice so far.

I still have a pair of motorbike boots from my biking days, got them off a Police Motorcyclist, brilliant they are.

My Missus made me start wearing Clarks, I used to wear anything. Went to Cheshire Oaks and I got four pairs for £80 they lasted incredibly well, and they were very comfy. Must have been one of the best purchases I ever made. I remember the day very well, I felt like a woman buying that many shoes

Having a bit of a sort out in garage and came across my old thongs and as there seems to be so much interest on TP I thought I`d share mine

EDIT - They have been in the garage for some time, they may have been cleaner last time worn
