And nobody disagreed with that since the first page. So the point is?Truck drivers fault. End of. Yes the car driver could have done XYZ, but they didn't.
ObviousAnd nobody disagreed with that since the first page. So the point is?
Are foreign trucks speed limited? Indeed, is it known that the offending truck is foreign?
The race team are based in Cologne Germany. It was a Toyota truck if I am not mistaken. English advertising on he side.
Would they advertise for hybrid technology? I guess they could. Might be likely actuall as us Germanic drivers would not expect someone to hanging next to us for that long, nor keep such huge distance from the vehicle in front. Heck not even my automatic cruise control system would leave such a gap.The race team are based in Cologne Germany.
True but if she'd have sat 10m further back, or 10m further forward she wouldn't have been in his blind spot , she accelerates up to the blind spot then sits there oblivious to the truck to her left closing the gap with the truck in front and likely to want to pull out.
Some people just can't read the road and anticipate what other drivers are likely to do which is why they get spun up the motorway.
I've seen some bad driving from men over the years but I've seen some terrified women on motorways, usually in August when they decide to take the kids out for the day, I saw a woman with 2 kids in the car drive into the side of a truck as she got to the end of the slip road
A woman in her 70s got to the end of the slip road, stopped dead then as soon as there was a gap pulled straight into lane one from 0mph , luckily the drivers on the motorway saw what she was doing and managed to get out of the way
Nah you've misunderstood that, basically all women are ultimately to blame for the incidentsSo everyone who's been sideswiped was ultimately to blame for the incident?
I've read some b****x in my time but that's a corker.

I doubt it, there are quite a few male (as per their profile) comments regarding keeping distance, speed etc. Just as many diffy and nervous male drivers out there and on here. You laugh, but I'd bet that if the driver in the OP incident were male, some of the judgements in this thread would be very different!![]()
They certainly would. One or two of these may well have been in the back of the transporter.Would they advertise for hybrid technology? I guess they could.

It's Toyota's team entered in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC), All of Toyota's motorsport teams work out of the same Cologne factory apart from the any American based motorsports.
But why should every car driver make adjustments for every retard at the helm of an artic?
Possibly because you're just as dead/damaged whoever is at fault.
Case closed thread may as well be lockedbasically all women are ultimately to blame for the incidents:evil:

Surely you can see the truck gaining on the one in front and the likelihood of the driver wanting to change lanes
if that were me as soon as I saw the truck staring to gain I'd have looked in the mirror to see if the outside lane was clear so IF he pulled out I'd have somewhere to go.
When the van in front of her moved over into lane 3 she had around 17 seconds before the first car over took her. As she would have had to enter lane 3 also to overtake the lorry she was getting closer to in lane 2 she had plenty of time to indicate and move to lane 3. I'd have indicated and moved as soon as the van went as there would have been plenty of room, cars in lane 3 would have been inconvenienced for a matter of seconds and slow for a bit, if she hadn't increased her speed to 70mph.Not disagreeing with you, BUT, how do you know she didn't?
There were cars in lane 3 overtaking her, so not an option.
She was slightly past the offending unit when it hit her, so she probably wouldn't have seen it anyway, but had she suddenly pulled into lane 3 she could have `caused` an accident. (she would then have had even more `advice`)
What are you suggesting ? It sounds like heresy to me, all those BWM's and Ovlov's will self combust at the mere though of someone in their lane,3 would have been inconvenienced for a matter of seconds and slow for a bit, if she hadn't increased her speed to 70mph.
16 seconds then and yes the van did indicate. Not splitting hairs, but not 17 seconds. (did the van in front even indicate before overtaking, giving her extra warning?)
Also the car coming up in lane 3 looks to be doing way over 70 which she may have been watching & aware of.
I've driven over a million miles on Britain's motorways over the last 25 years , I've been involved in one crash.....
Still plenty of time to move to the outside lane, following cars do have brakes, they'd have plenty of room and warning, slow to 70mph with no danger to anyone15 - 16? doesn't change anything else I posted though.

You don't have to lane hog to stay away from lorries, just simply overtake safely and in a timely fashion, then move back into a suitable sized gap.Opinions eh.
Folk will be lane-hogging to avoid wagons & sat permanently in lanes 2, then 3 next!Oh, hang on.......

And as previously said, assessing what other road users are doing and may do, will mean you leave yourself in a less risky situation or for a shorter period of time. When driving, regardless of a 5 minute journey or for several hours, your awareness should be evolving the whole time, processing your surroundings.Crikey, talk about stating the obviousAs previously said, hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Then, so stressed worrying about your risk assessments etc, YOU CRASH!!!And as previously said, assessing what other road users are doing and may do, will mean you leave yourself in a less risky situation or for a shorter period of time. I never find driving stressful at all. Complete opposite in fact. Then, so stressed worrying about your risk assessments etc, YOU CRASH!!!
I Didn't mean you specifically, I should have said "one"I never find driving stressful at all. Complete opposite in fact.
If you are that easily stressed maybe you should do the right thing and don't go on the road. That is just dangerous. Then, so stressed worrying about your risk assessments etc, YOU CRASH!!!
You obviously never driven on the M25. You'd be so lucky if you get around it.This post is like the m25......going round in circles
Ok, going nowhere thenYou obviously never driven on the M25. You'd be so lucky if you get around it.
