Here is an Old Print 10x8" from my files scanned as i was trying to get my old Epson 1650 flatbbed to work with the print scanning adaptor which covers the strip light. i have an old 'MUSTEK 1200 UB' which I used with my 'Gateway' Computer with 502MB RAM and PhotoShop 7 and it worked perfectly.then I had to give away that Computer as I took over this HP ENVY m6 with 8 GB RAM from my daughter BUT the scanner would not work, then I got an HP Scanjet 4570c from Havering 'Freegle' and THAT would not work with Windows 10 on new computer so i was 'stuck' for a while, then I read to download the Vuescan 32 bit version ( I have the 64 bit already) and THAT found the Epson OK ! So I am 'In Business' again.

Excellent, ta very much.

I have been given free a HP Scanjet 4570c flatbed and saved it from a dump BUT it would not work with Vuescan Pro 64 bit and HP site do not support that model any more with a 'driver' so I could not use it. Then yesterday a friend who is a 'computer Buff' had a look and worked for over an hour trying all sort of 'driver sites' -- ONE , Driver Tool Kit ,com left a nasty MALWARE file in my computer and we had trouble getting rid of it but al last by doing a 'compatibility with Vista' he got kit to work and the driver downloaded and Vuescan and Windows 10 found it -- so at last i have a PRINT scanner and I c an use my old Epson 1650 with the strip light only for negs and trannies. Here is a print scanned from my Files, a home=processed EP2 Colour print taken for a local newspaper on the story about a girl Rugby Football player.
Pentax ME Super, 80-200mm f4.5 SMC Pentax-M lens, film not recorded.

I did a few more scans with my 'Now Working At Last Free HP Scanjet 4570c" -- here is another 10x8" Press Print done for the 'Brentwood Argus' which went broke in 1980 -- taken at the former Warley Hospital which is now a 'Posh Apartment Complex' , Asahi Pentax Electro=Spotmatic + 35mm f2.4 CZ Flektogon, Tri-x processed in Promicrol, print on Kemtmere S/W Glossy.

What a wonderful face, Pete. Was that actually an Electro Spotmatic, as opposed to an ES or ES II? I ask because the Electro Spotmatic was supposedly only sold in Japan, yet I had one for a while, bought in Hong Kong in 1974. Mine was fine, but apparently they were not very reliable.

Chris R : YES, that WAS the Japanese Home Market Electro-Spotmatic bought Tokyo 1973 -- I was in touch with a Japanese camera Magazine and found their office in Tokyo and a writer took me to a Camera Dealer who bought out the camera new, with box, instructions and brown leather case at half the UK price but I was STUNG at Heathrow Airport for TAXES but still cheaper, the after a while it started playing up -- vast over=exposure due to slow shutter speed -- spoiled some Press Photos , then found out it could NOT be repaired in UK as the electronics were different to the Export version BUT I managed to off-load it to a Camera Club member who has 40 Pentaxes for £85-00 as it had original BOX and Brown case etc !! Here is an Old Press Print taken with it found in my files when it WAS OK ---

Taken many years ago now --must be 1973 or 1974 at Wembley Stadium when Billericay Town won the 'FA Vase' -- I was covering it for the 'Billericay ARGUS' newspaper which went broke in 1980. It says on print ' Asahi Pentax Electro=Spotmatic + 300mm f5.5 Hanimex, Ilford HP5 processed in Promicrol.
I no longer have that CAMERA but I do still have that old LENS. I scanned a darkroom print found in my files.

Hey Pete, I really like the photo - do you have any more from Warley (or any other Asylums). I help run County Asylums (http://www.countyasylums.co.uk/) and have a page on my own site (http://thetimechamber.co.uk/beta/sites/asylums/essex-county-asylum-warley) and it would be great to link to a few photos, if thats possible?

Cheeky i know...

Never knew that Site existed about 'Asylums' -- well, I have NO MORE as far as I c an remember -- all my Press prints and negatives from over 40 years ago have been DUMPED on the orders of TWO Ex=Wives. i used to go to the Warley one regularly for Press jobs such as their Christmas Fayre and came out smelling of 'Jeyes Fluid' ---- you are welcome to use this photo if you want -- I bet that lady died over 40 years ago!

I got a roll of TMax 400 back that I shot in Rome a few weeks ago on my Yashica 635. I used the LB Loupe app on my phone last night along with an iPod Touch lightbox to have a look at the negatives before I scan them. From a quick look I think I might get some nice results;

I'll get them scanned properly and upload.

Portra 400 shot with a Pentax 'thingumy' I have recently been using, with a bit of Flickr over sharpening though!

That is a nice set, Adrian. Presumably that's you in the blue jumper in the first?

Chris thanks, yes that's me in the corner of the first shot. The camera is a sort of Pentax P&S, it's a 645N, with a 45mm FA

Get them scanned!
That second shot must have been taken outside of the front door of the apartment I stayed in last week!

Small world :0) it was the first time I'd been to Rome but a local photographer took me round for a few hours once I'd finished working and every street seemed to be perfect for photography!

I've been 'scanning' the negatives today with my A6000/50mm and lightblock. I haven't inverted them all yet but looking nice and sharp so far.

This is my first image shared on this site. I took this back in 1989 on a Vivitar P35 compact film camera. It wasn't the best shot, i'll admit. I have just purchased a Canon AE-1 and am keen to get back into film photography (I've been digital since 2003). I'm actually really excited to see what i can do now many years later (probably still cr@p!). :D

One of my backlog of 35mm images, taken on my old OM2 with 50mm 1.4 on Ektar 100. As with the 2 from Rome above, this was 'scanned' with my A6000/50mm and a lightblock. I originally colour inverted it using Viewscan but I couldn't get it 100% then preferred the tones in the B&W conversion.

Interesting hand signal from the lad to the left of middle ... :sneaky:

Well spotted, now, how do you get coffee stains out of sofas?

I agree, gorgeous looking cars. This one was white and there was a red one parked next to it too.

I thought that may have been the tail end of another. My frog eyed was red as well.
