Posiview's TP52 2016. Week 52 Celebrate added. FINISHED :)

Groan......
I agree that it appears to float a little, but very entertaining. :)

Had to smile when I saw that Andy ....plenty of butter ....perfect :) is that 'proper' Soreen it doesn't look dark and gooey enough.

I wondered too...but they do several varieties these days.

Hi Andy. I had thought about Soreen but decided against as it would mean getting rid of the waste after ... or should I say ".... getting rid of the waist after". Well chosen and taken Andy - good fun image

Thanks all, well, one to week 35 :)

15 photographs with the 105mm and stacked in PS.

I have another idea but needs Jackie and Isabelle's assistance and it always costs me with Isabelle :)

Cheers.

Oooo look, a Triffid! you don't see many of those about these days!

Interesting image Andy, loads of detail. ( but then again I would hope so with 15 stacks :D )

15 stacks, that's dedication but it has paid off, nice detail, I do like a bit of botany.

Yes ... get caught in possession of opium and claim to be a botanist.

Nice stack job (a thing I've never tried) and nice White BG with Black border ... so on theme. ;)

I really like shots like this, simple in idea if not in execution!!
Is it a poppy head? (I'm no botanist).
Perfect for the theme.

Cheers, I'm a fan of botanical photography as well, the details are amazing.

It is a poppy head, we have around a dozen growing every year in the same spot :)

Cheers.

Every millimetre focused to perfection.... well apart from the very bottom of the stem! ;)

Yep, very good stacking giving a strong image, well done.

Fantastic detail Andy, liking the square crop and the overall lighting, real nice indeed (y)

Hi Andy ....excellent choice in the poppy head, and well done with all that stacking, you've captured the detail really well but retained a delicate feel about it....very nice.

Can't really add anything except that seeing images like this make me want to have a go at stacking too.

Thanks all, appreciate the feedback. I do enjoy stacking a good botanical subject.

Well spotted, Stan @rpn :)

Cheers.

A very striking image Andy. Not sure why, how and when .. or indeed what, stacking is to be used but it certainly produced a very professional-looking image.

Great photo, and very sharp (as you would expect with 15 images stacked). Did you use a rail?

Thanks, Carl if you are interested in having a go Linky and linky good fun :)

15 images stacked, wow I'm happy if I can get one or two in focus and stacked. Really good image.

Very nicely done...I think I need to work on this stacking business! The white background is perfect to set it off, too.

Thanks, all, Emma, see links above.

Cheers.

Paid a trip to The Peak District for a TP Meet with @Mardybum @ShutterWork and @Mark twiglet, @minnnt was also there.

Rain was expected but after a 03:00 alarm clock and arriving in advance of sunset....that happened, but blocked by clouds :bat:, then rain arrive around 3 hourts earlier than expected.

We took a trip to a disused slate mine Magpie Mine that has great star trail and long exposure potential, neither of which we could do, but will be back at some point. The onto a cafe for a drink and a pudding :). Rich mentioned a Cathedral, St John the Baptist, Tideswell, and what a place it was. VERY large for such a small place. Here's information about the cathedral.

I thought it was an apt subject for this week's theme. We noticed that a wedding was planned; out came my camera and tripod for a HDR, when the door opened and the advanced party walked in, in their finest attire. I thought, "I'm set up....so am taking the photograph :)", took 3 exposures, then decided to pack up.

I decided against any cloning.

They are a lot sharper when viewed in Flickr.

Here you go.

Cheers.

I think I prefer the colour version, nice muted colours and great symmetry

I do like a church (y)

Great symmetry, and well exposed. I also prefer the colour (but not too colourful) version.

Colour for me too Andy, nicely exposed and processed :)

Wonderfully ornate and detailed shot. I too prefer the colour version.

Some how the colour version seems to have less of a HDR feel to it than the B&W, so colour for me.

Hey Andy :)

Shame about the weather mate, what a bummer !!! I'm sure you would of made the most of it anyway :)

Ancient - Hmmmmmm On flickr I chose the B&W on my phone, but now on my monitors I'm not so sure, good symmetry and great light with them large windows, both very nice

Good job you got there before the wedding advance party Ha Haaaaa :)

Spot on theme. Perfectly exposed and done well with the limited time available. Like both version.
