You seem to partake in these threads, maybe your have issues you need addressing? I was merely illustrating the point where I reckon a theif should see capital punishment.

Yes, but we were talking about shooting drug addicts because of the awful crimes they commit to fund their addiction. I implied those crimes would be theft so logic would dictate that all thieves should face capital punishment. You then posted an example of thieving which bore no resemblance to drug addiction.

So I'll ask again, do you think all thieves should be shot?

And now it's thieves for capital punishment as well?
 
@ST4 perhaps you should give us a list of people who don't deserve a bullet. I feel it may be a shorter one.

Why should it be free. University further education is optional blah blah blah. Why should we all shoulder the cost of your and others like yours choices? Nothing like a perpetual student IMHO.

You wanna go to uni, great. My view is its a cost you and you alone should bare. Not the tax payer. If we get a half sensible government, these days will be over.

Well, if everyone chose not to go into higher education, the country would be screwed within a generation.

The costs you would have to shoulder would then be considerably higher.

No. People would just have to pay for it themselves - there would be less graduates but the few would be of a higher calibre as the lesser uni's would go out of business. This en mass funding of degree's hasn't exactly done us much good as it stands.

well actually its not optional for a lot of jobs. I certainly couldn't do my chosen profession without a PhD and you can't be a perpetual student without paying for it. How do you think nurses are trained these days or midwives? You clearly live in some weird ass bubble like David Cameron et al

It must really get your goat that I've had 9 years of free education paid for by the goverment lol

Read the whole thing and ST4 has single handedly made my liberal approach to my views on all things change.

I wonder, using his opposition to "free" university education (albeit in Scotland only) if we take the same approacb to road building..... Sorry but you have lnly contributed to say 10 feet of road - that your lot, if you need anymore you will have to negotiate with the other owners of bits of road you need to use....

Isolationism in a world of power blocs.

Summary execution of undesirables.

Can't see why people would be against any of that. It's time we gave proven failed policies another go.

Maybe but , apart from the enraged ultra right hardliners, the general public could get very upset at the horrors of face shootings of Big Issue sellers and those who steal bread from skips behind one stop shops... not everyone plays the goriest and de-sensitizing games on consoles and PCs etc, where bloodshed abounds, close ups are high definition and pixellated illegals in Calais dare not cross the channel to a land filled with jolly welcoming Englanders.....

I've paid my taxes for those planes. I want to see them put to good use. Any intellectual Liberal types who object are just over-educated, scrounging job dodgers, so sod them.

No one makes you apply (the key word is there apply) for a job that requires graduate qualification. No one makes you apply for a degree. As such both are optional and to her the job you want (but might not need) you may have to get a degree. Doesn't mean that degree should be paid for by people like me.

I think the administrative burden is not worth it. Why not just instantly limit it to higher rate take payers, that way it will increase the revenue instantly, sure the tax rate will be voted down, but that immediately increases the voters base and thus revenue again. And so on, until it finds it natural acceptable level in the market, with a result of more revenue, more active voters, and a more involved country...
