Daily Phil's 2013 365 challenge 1/1/2013 All Done!!!!!!!!

 Lovely, really like this and could see it on a wall

Gorgeous Phil, we never seem to get fog like that around here!

I love this, Phil - saw many many potential shots on my way to work this morning and was a little ticked off that I couldn't just stop and get the camera out! I like the simple composition and that fog sitting right on the ground. Is that little splodge really the sun? Impressive! :)

Thanks Sam. I had just arrived at my first job of the day just before 8am and spotted this over the hedge. The sun disappeared shortly after this and didnt appear again until 10am

Many thanks Sarah, there isnt too many of my shots anyone has said that about:D

Thanks Toni. It wasnt much fun to drive in earlier. The rain is due back here tomorrow, its been dry now for more than 2 weeks.

Love this, got out a bit too late here this morning & the mist had burnt off.

Thanks Sarah

Phil you've done brilliantly since I last called in  some really different photo's but all to a really high standard  I must say I love your pond, that is something really special

Oh wow Phil now this is just gorgeous...

Brilliant image, really nice and atmospheric.

This is very similar to the view we had when we went to pick someone up from the airport last night, if you cloned out the tree.

Day 65. Abandoned. The house i was working at this morning belongs to an old man who sadly died last autumn. He loved his garden and spent a lot of time in his greenhouse. The whole place is now sitting empty while the family argue over it. His tomatoes are still hanging on the tomato plants, he never got a chance to pick them.

Mmmm, shame it's not scratch and sniff - I love the smell of greenhouses :D

Awwww that's sad, such a shame that rows happen like this

It's such a shame when families fight like this over material things when someone has died. :shake:

The photo tells a story with or without your explanation - nice one :)

Thats a wee bit odd Sarah:eek::eek:

Very poignant, how sad he never got to pick his last crop & how sad the family are arguing over it, perhaps they could have picked it for him.

I know Sarah, the whole thing is very sad

Thanks T

If DAY 65 could speak there would be many of tale told!!! Love the shot phil

Thanks Vince

Sorry for not replying to anyone elses threads so far, i have 550 miles done since posting yesterdays shot. Will get round everyone elses now.

Day 66. Bit of a filler though i did like the new design on the bottle tops. "yes honey, i'm just drinking this beer as i need the tops for a shot"

I like this - love the way to gets more blurred along the line, kind of in line with the drinker! Just wondering if the second one which is in focus should maybe be a tad more in focus? Not sure and may be wrong, but in all honesty, maybe you should drink another 7 and try it?!!! :naughty::lol::lol:

I like that Phil! Very artistic! And well done on not bending any!

Thanks Jake. I did treat them carefully when opening them.

Sam, I like your thinking! I will maybe try that tonight:D

Sam you're such an enabler

Nice use of DOF and I like how theyre not in a straight line.

Thanks Sarah

day 66 is a great shot Phil .......love the angle

Thanks Vince

And you managed to get a nice focus & DOF after that! I'd have been passed out! As others have said, the curve works well, instead of the usual straight line for this type of shot.

Thanks Sarah

Great solitude in the tree shot, shame you had to drink all that beer :P
The greenhouse shot certainly tells a story....did you try it portrait and from further back? As if we were sneaking a look inside?

Thanks Jeff. I did try to keep the door frame in shot on both sides to give the impression if peering in through it.

Day 67. After spending the whole day outside in the rain with no chance of a shot of anything i picked this 1 daffodil and brought it in to shoot

Day 66...my kind of shot...drinking beer as you need the tops for a shot ...love it :D

Day 67...nice idea Phil, but I think more light needed on the daffodil to bring it out.

Well done on bringing some brightness to the day. I do like the yellow against the sky blue.

Thanks Sarah

Cheers Simon. As per your suggestion i re-shot it lit from behind this time. Someone tell me if it helps.

No summer here mate, it has rained here continuously since 2pm on Wednesday although it might stop for a couple of hours tomorrow according to the forecast :( I have wet coats and supposedly waterproof trousers hanging all over the place to get dried for tomorrow.

2nd shot is much better, although the trumpet bit is missing something

I prefer the backlit one, it looks really good! :) Great background for the flower as well.
