Once question - what is wrong in the head of the councillors or maybe the city council budget to screw over all residents and commuters? Only the council wins, everyone else loses....

This primarily concerns Labour dominated Glasgow council in this post, but is pretty much applicable to anywhere in the UK.

I would love to see Frech- or Greek- style protests against this terror, but people are too timid and shy up here.


The revenge is coming though - I most likely will vote for the independence of Scotland, and they can deal with the consequences when I run away in the Spring laughing :) A purchase of a big and polluting SUV is also coming.

They are not really built for it, but I could pollute and have lots of fun over speed humps

In simple language anywhere on public space. I pay road tax and council tax after all.

Otherwise civil liberties are taken away from people, socioeconomic divide is significantly widened, and cars become just an expensive useless decoration in your back yard.

My X5 4.4i would run at 140mph no problem. By 150mph it was all maxed out and a little scary. 130-140 was totally fine and bar the E320cdi I ran, it was easily the fastest car I owned, actually a private bit near me there's a downhill then an uphill. Kickdown off the round about, terminal speed by the brow of the hill, 125mph in the E class, 130mph in the X5 4.4i (only 105mph in the 3.0i X5). Thing was, the E class would do 150 and be stable, the X5 got a bit err, scary.

Go for it.

I know the OP's problem, he works in the city and doesn't live near public transport. He used to be able to park near his work FOC, now its going to become restricted. I'd be galled by it too, considering the money will just go towards keep methodone freaks alive.

Oh yeah my life is about to become a total misery for the next 6 months and will destroy any little bit of my social life I had. That is exactly what I wanted to hear last night.

You lot really deserve farage / Scottish independence for sure with these attitudes.

Whatever, but I will add my protest vote to the pot. It appears that for all the positive and negative reasons I should be considering North America for my next job provided I get good enough publications here. Uk may likely become uninhabitable place probably as soon as next May / June. I will better deal with Obama policies rather than Putin and Farage.

If we keep going the way we are, we'll be an Ismamic state in a generation, sod all to do with Farage or Putin. Obama is a bigger threat than all the rest put together.

get a motorbike - they are a damn site easier to park 9worst comes to the worst you can bring them in and park them in the front room - although that doesnt always go down to well with wimminz

Obama is a bit weak in his foreign policies, and doesn't quite have the support for domestic work... But trust me, Farage and Putin might cause ww3 if the events in the Ukraine are not yet considered as the beginning. Scottish highlands is probably a good place to hide in the midgy swamps

Thank god I don't have the licence for the (but wouldn't be a mammoth task to pass crb test). I would end really badly on one. I just know it.

nah with farage in charge we english intend to follow the russian model for dealing with breakaway states - that is allow your independence, keep 9/10th of the defence equipment including all the good stuff then invade aberdeen claiming we have to , to protect the indigenous english minority , and take the oil by force of arms

get your motor running, get out on the highway, looking for adventure and whatever comes your way... do 137 mph past as many speed cameras as possible... yeah gonna make it happen take the world in a love embrace... get banned from driving.... fire all of your guns at once and explode into the unused parking space

That would be a good revenge. All my tickets would be invalid for various reasons and hence zero revenue for the council. I would issue some for the council ore though. I would get fired quite quickly I think...
 
Just go to Allison Street - there appear to be no problems parking there - double parking is normal :(
 
Also thinking about wasting some good budget using Cycle to work scheme for top of the range mountain bike, that may get used like once or twice up here... and it might fit in that polluting SUV!

137mph is a bit slow ;) he ways the tag line under his user CP. I was faster than Steve.

X5 4.4i is what he needs. Good value out of the £450 VED as it puts out a lot more CO2 than where band M starts.

Why produce bubbles when you can produce tons of it when you get your new V8 X5. The problem is you'll still have nowhere to park it near your work so you can exhale yet loads more CO2 by walking a long way from where you park it to your work.

I know you like to be Eco friendly bit it's only Glasgow your polluting-it doesn't matter. Decat your V8, it'll sound great when you roar past dibble at 100mph in the Clyde tunnel
