Looks like it might be Alf . Price will be the overiding factor though . Might even lower the used price of the 60mm as seems the norm of late
.... So about £1,200. Personally, that's about the price I would expect it to be in view of its spec. It's likely to be a proper PRO lens. OMDS are clearly intent on producing high quality camera gear and that always comes at a price. A high quality Macro is not usually a budget lens - It isn't where the market is.

If the OM Special Announcement on 8th February includes this Macro lens (very likely but not 100% certain) then by now many retailers will most likely be confidentially aware of the price level.
Some photographers here such as Alby @ajophotog are very Macro/Micro orientated but I am much more Macro/Close-up orientated and so achieving distance from my living wildlife subject is important and so the new 90mm (180mm equivalent) Macro lens is not a must-have. I get satisfactory (for me) close-up results with my 40-150mm F/2.8 PRO + MC-20 and even my 150-400mm TC PRO and especially when able to Focus Stack onboard camera.
Yep she trips up and falls over so much now I think 'that ' conversation is coming with the vet soon
.... Extremely sad as it is, it may be kinder to her in the longer term - I am sure you already know this. Dogs are full members of your family and not merely pets.
.... Thank you! I don't remember if I shot it on my Gitzo monopod or not but most likely did so that 'handheld' focus stacking would stand a better chance of being successful.

Sad times Mark, I had to go through this twice in the past, I even made a photo book of all the photos I had of my old Buzz and couldn't bare to look at it for over a year after. I do look now and was glad I did it.

Wish I had a £1 for everytime time I thought not that old quote again RobinBut, what suits one photographer might not suit another best and it's Horses-for-Courses. < If I had £1 for every time I have said that, I could doubtless buy the new lens!

My macro lenses have been the Canon 100mm F/2.8L IS (faultless) and Olympus M.Zuiko 60mm and like quite a few other users I didn't get on at all with the modus operandi of the 60mm (now sold) to the extent that I considered the Laowa lenses but their limited features don't suit my subjects which are very different from yours Alf. I even bought a Metabones Adapter so I could mount the Canon lens on my M1X but unfortunately it doesn't now physically fit the OM-1 'prism' overhang.
.... It's very important not to disturb seal pups (or adult seals) in wild coastal regions - I can't emphasise that enough.
