What little beauties!
Nice image. I live about 5 miles from there.First high res handheld shot from the OM-1. Little Moreton Hall in east Cheshire
That photo really shows how good the hi res mode can be. Can I ask what lens you used please?First high res handheld shot from the OM-1. Little Moreton Hall in east Cheshire

Can never be bored of dog photos![]()

Its a mystery to me why more people especially amateurs and enthusiasts don’t shoot M43 - for 90% of situations M43 is enough - of course for pros that earn a living and really need it get FF…I have to say the quality of the MFT photos posted in this group are a huge selling point for me as I have recently put my order in for an OM-1
Keep the dog photos coming....
As Stephen said above, you can never have enough dog images on this thread![]()

hold very tight please by jeff and jan cohen, on FlickrI suspect your right - and wanting the latest thing ! I know I’ve been there !Simple. Snobbery.
I’m not sure that’s true tbh, there are advantages to FF and some do appreciate them and don’t find lugging the extra weight a choreSimple. Snobbery.
Oh, so have II suspect your right - and wanting the latest thing ! I know I’ve been there !
There still branded olympus ,can’t see any need to change .I was thinking will there be a new thread for OM System cameras or should that brand just continue here under the olympus heading?
Wow indeedDon’t want to be a party pooper ,but as some will know I go on to multi interwebby sites … and on the u.k olympus one there’s quiet a few problems popping up from out of focus in s.a.f mode and today two OM1 bodies in different countries have locked up and gone dead on the owners ..
It may just be a few duff bodies but keep a eye on things
Keep em Collie photo's coming Trev....!!!!! FabulousAnyone bored of my dog yet ?

Problems have exsisted by a few each time a new model has appeared on all brands, I think given the complexity of modern day equipment that is not a suprise, just looking back through the firmware revisions shows fixes and improvements that have happened to previous models. The 5 years of warranty is the leveller though I think. Not too much to worry about just yet about quality but it is early days and although I am not sure of 1st phase of delivery numbers the odd problems by a few don't worry me that much atm. I personally suspect the battery as the cameras involved are powering up via external power sources .. and yes no doubt it will be fixed the problem lies in the fact that until its sorted any faulty items have to go back to Portugal which on current customs timings takes around 4 weeks turnaroundProblems have exsisted by a few each time a new model has appeared on all brands, I think given the complexity of modern day equipment that is not a suprise, just looking back through the firmware revisions shows fixes and improvements that have happened to previous models. Hardly hardship unless you are a pro and if you are you should have some resilience built into you workflow. I'm now just a hobbyist these days and have a couple of spare cameras to play with so not a problem to lose a camera for a month or so. Annoying yes, a problem not really.I personally suspect the battery as the cameras involved are powering up via external power sources .. and yes no doubt it will be fixed the problem lies in the fact that until its sorted any faulty items have to go back to Portugal which on current customs timings takes around 4 weeks turnaround
Not everyone has enough spare money these days for a extra body or systemHardly hardship unless you are a pro and if you are you should have some resilience built into you workflow. I totally agree Jeff, I couldn't afford to have 2 top of the range cameras from Olympus nowadays so I have a £25 panasonic g3 and an FZ82 bridge camera to get my fix. I have in the past had two matching model cameras only to use just one while leaving the other unused as a safety net. Bit pointless these days as I only shoot for my own pleasure now.Not everyone has enough spare money these days for a extra body or system
