Have you updated the firmware to 1.2?
I have just had a look for firmware version 1.2 and it appears to have been removed from the Olympus web site.

I think for some reason it's missing from the mac download area. If you use the camera updater programme that came with the disk it will determine if you need to update. Remember to remove the lens though as otherwise it doesn't recognise the camera.
Chris. I had updated to 1.2 and have seen a bit of an improvement on C-AF.

Interesting they are touch screen compatible. I think I will invest in these too. Thanks for the tip

Anybody else got 3rd party batteries? First time I put one of the 3rd party batteries I got from Amazon today and I had to use a nail file to get it out. Seems like its a fraction bigger than the standard Olympus battery.

Dave I got these yesterday and put one on (the camera not me) Maybe it was down to me not putting in on right but 24hrs later they're where bubbles on it than when I installed it.
Also when looking at photos in playback they looked very dark. I have since taken the protector of the screen and photoessays look OK again.

Quick query, I assume a standard Olympus remote release will work fine on these>
Well thats my Micro 4/3 setup settled for now,
Olympus EM5, 9-18mm, 14mm, 25mm, 45mm and another 100-300mm which I picked up tonight.
Happy with the all round lineup although I would maybe like a 20mm if they sort out some of the issues that it seems to be causing, duplication with the 25mm perhaps but very handy for when I just want a small high quality package of EM5 and pancake lens!
I'm going to reserve judgement on my wide angle until I've used the 9-18mm a little more, very tempted by the 7-14mm and also the 12mm but I really would need to have one of the 3 and while I will leave the 9-18mm up for sale I will use it to see what I think.
Overally very happy now with my lineup, sold the GF2 as I just wasn't going to use it as the EM5 is small itself, might add a cheap 12-50 kit lens if it comes up for the Weather Sealing but apart from that I'm hoping for drier weather so I can get out and shoot!!!!
Thanks Chris.
I received a 3rd party battery in addition to the normal one with my 2nd hand OMD, it seems to fit in the camera fine but is a bit tight in the grip, I might just bite the bullet and buy another Olympus one
Yes Julian, they seem to fit into the body ok but the grip is a bit tight with mine. I stick a piece of cotton in so I can pull them out again in the grip. That method works fine for me and the battery life is no different then the originals I am finding.
Thanks chaps, I was thinking of a thin piece of material around the 3rd party battery too, so I can pull it.
