Thanks David.Thats bit nice![]()
I’ve managed a year with a Q3 with one extra battery - only a couple of times have I had to use two batteries on one day, and several times I’ve managed a few days away without having to rechargeI know I have bought into a premium system here with Leica but do the batteries have to be so expensive![]()
yep original Leica are expensive especially for the "M" bodies - some have now been discontinued but "stock" is still available but if you are buying used, (and even new), always check the date on the battery.I know I have bought into a premium system here with Leica but do the batteries have to be so expensive![]()

I do have WiFi and phone linking turned off by default though
Good info, thank you.yep original Leica are expensive especially for the "M" bodies - some have now been discontinued but "stock" is still available but if you are buying used, (and even new), always check the date on the battery.
For the M8/M9 there are now aftermarket and reasonably priced
For the first "Q" - Typ 116, the batteries are the same as Panasonic
(later "M's" and "Q's") - maybe the chinese will start producing copies, but if you are spending £6k on a new "M" - £150 for a genuine battery is certainly worth it for many
I need to go through the settings properly to maximise then, I think. I'll be giving them some more heavy use at an all day event this month so don't want to run out.
Not sure there’s many M10 batteries about used at the moment. I’ve had 2 since I’ve had my M10-P (almost 5 years) & find that unless I’m using live view of the typ020 EVF they last most of the day. I guess at £145 it’s an expensive investment, but if you’re going to keep the camera a good while, they probably pay for themselves over time.I need to go through the settings properly to maximise then, I think. I have an M10 and a Q2 Reporter. I can't find any used batteries for the M so will have to be new. There's a few Q batteries out there used. I'll have to just do it.

Tried it - I thought it was crap so bought the Leica version instead.Does anyone us the Light Lens Lab Camera Eyepiece magnifier 1.4x on their Leica "M" - about £120?
if so what do you think?
Haha. There’s never any blossom left tomorrow…Went into Birmingham tomorrow see the blossom… wasn’t any left!
