QQ if I may guys, your advice is requested.
My dream of owning a Leica someday is about to come true, yet for some reason I am hesitating. I have the opportunity to pick up a mint Leica Q2 Reporter for 4k.
With trading a camera I can afford the Q2 now, but unsure if this opportunity would present itself again.
Is this still relevant today, is it at the right price? or should I try to save more and go for the Q3 ?
Cheers
My view is that if you already have a Q2 then its a very difficult decision, if you are coming to Q series cameras for the first time buy the newest that you can afford (IMO).
The Q3 has several advantages
1) More MP, more cropping options
2) Better DR
3) Tilting Screen, not a must have but nice to have anyway (but camera doesn't look as sleek as Q2)
4) Phase Detection AF, quite a bit faster
5) Higher resolution and brighter (OLED) EVF
6) Higher ES Shutter Speed
7) Leica Looks, for some better JPG options
2, 4 and 5 are definitely worth it IMO
