(I should have used the faster ZEISS Distagon, offering more subject isolation. But : the more lenses you have, the greater the likelihood of taking the wrong one ... --- )

Leica M10 + 28mm voigtlander + lee filter super stopper

I noticed that the flaring/reflection is really bad... and I haven't tried recently except on a bridge in sunshine.
When the sunlight hits the front, it flared/leaked/reflected.
This is a bit weird... has anyone used it.?

With the 28mm, I take off the shade, and screw the lee filter holder to the lens. Its very close to the glass.
Would it work better with a tube on front ?
I'll have a few more shots from the sunshine up soon (ish)

Nose and cockpit of an English Electric Canberra. The first British jet bomber, it was operated by the R.A.F. from 1953 until 1983. It was also sold to Australia, India and Peruvia. The Glenn L Martin company bought a licence to build it as the B57 for the U.S.A.F., who operated more than 400 of the type. Pakistan and the Republic of China (Taiwan) also bought and operated B57s into the late 1980s.

God I'd love an M10-D. Bank balance says otherwise though :(

What lens did you get with it /for it?
I got it home, with no lens because the camera store didn’t have any decent used ones in stock, so I ordered a used summicron 35 ASPH but that won’t turn up til friday. This left me itching to use the camera so I trawled eBay and found a used Voigtlander 50mm 1.5 and it’s just fantastic. Wasn’t expecting the images that came out. i’d happily pit the camera against my Sony A7R3 (once I get used to the rangefinder).

Fantastic. Hope you enjoy both the 50 and the 35 :)

Hi, which 28mm VOIGTLÄNDER do you use? - The filter seems to be the culprit ... ---

Hi folks, I just bought my first Leica (used M10). I’m in awe at the images SOOC. :)
Congratulations!
I upgraded from an m240 (always wanted a leica after they entered the digital market). Enjoy it! Does have a different/unique feel :)

ultron f2 I think it is.
Note I also have the original welding glass with a mounting ring and that also flares on the 28mm.
now either I need to put a cloth/hanky or something around the glass/screw adaptor or I suspect a tube on the end might solve it (or just be a waste of money). But the flaring is annoying as i didn't have that on the nikon/11-16tokina.... possibly because the flaring was outside the sensor.... not sure.

But the lee filter adaptor is not cheap... so wanted to actually use it ... or use it 'properly' ...

I'm a bit indifferent to the M10-D, I can take it or leave it to be honest...

I do have serious GAS for an M10 Monochrom at present, I convert 99.9% of my images into black and white now, so the call of the Monochrom is getting stronger!

(I like the new Ultron very much. It is compact, very well made and performing well. It is my favourite 28mm M mount lens now. -

But I do not own the Leica Summicron.., --- I only have the Elmarits (asph. V1 and pre-asph.) and the Ultron V1.)
