Nikon D750 & D780

Surely there`s a back on one you could clone on?

A bit of a faff but yes I'll probably have a play at some point when I've got them down to a sensible number.

It's on all weekend Toby, Fri-Sun. The Friday had two less hours of flying but all the major attractions were on show but is much quieter. Mistake we made was taking our 8 month old. We bought her ear defenders but ended up taking her back to the car as the missus wasn't happy - she was ok, slept through the first part. Airshows I have been to in the past have only had a few jets and so isn't as loud, this was different. Best bit for me is that they're all parked up and so they start and finish in front of you. Cosford over the years is quite a tame affair in comparison with aircraft coming in from other bases. I didn't get the chance to walk round as my father-in-law isn't so mobile so will do more next year for sure.

So Here's the star of the show. You can see how the light wasn't great at this point.

Cheap! Never seen them that low new with the warranty! When is the next open day? lol

The next one in Calumet will be in a few months. All brands participate in specific stores and offer discounts up to 20%

Anyone else having import issues with lightroom since the update? Before when I imported it would 'remember' the root folder I last imported from but now it doesn't so I have to locate it every time I import which is highly annoying as my RAW folder is buried deep in other folders

Yes, noticed it for the first time yesterday, let me know the fix when you've sussed it ;)

Popped down to Chartwell this morning ... Bloody house is covered in scaffolding, so that was a no no, but the gardens were nice :)
I don`t normally take pix of statues, but kinda liked the view point of this one ...

Update re Lightroom import. Apparently Adobe are aware of the issue and looking into it.

On a separate note the D7200 focus screen cleans much more easily than the D750, one blow with the rocket blower and it was crystal clear ;)

Lol. DX bummer
Nice little camera though, keep toying with buying one myself for wildlife as I'm still convinced that a 24mp uncropped DX image will look better than a 10mp cropped image from the D750 despite what others have said on another thread ;) I'll get to try for myself now that my mate has a D7200 though :D

I've got both and they complement each other nicely. :)

When shooting at distance do you find shooting with the D7200 gives better IQ or the D750 cropped to match the DX frame (ie 10mp)?

My D750 seems to have replaced the Fooj for family time now, whoops...

Nice ones! I struggled with the first i thought it was a mirror, took me a minute to realised what was going on.

I'm the same whith my camera, when I'm home I reach the nikon, when I'm out i usually just take a compact at the moment.

Took some pics of my friends Foal today. Sadly it was only inside a very dimly lit stable and had to shoot at f1.8 to stand any chance. Even then the D750 struggled for some reason, it should wouldn't fire off the shots, especially if I used the outer focus points.

Ta Tim. I was hoping for a house martin or two to swoop through the frame, but they didn't oblige. Still a bit early, and damp, up here for the combines. But it won't be long.

You would have been better off with the 24-70. It focuses far better than primes do. I noticed you were at f4 for the second shot (which is the best imo) so at 2.8 on the zoom youcould have had a lower iso and better focusing ability.

Why so reluctant to use it? It's the biz mate.

Still recovering from shoulder injury and struggling with anything heavier than the 24-85 TBH.

2nd shot was with 24-85 and lucky as by stable door. Soon as the little chap went the other side it was so damn dark.

I do quite a lot of equine as we have horse up the yard. These were only 2 shots of 115 in 45min lol. I do enjoy the 35mm more and more and until I'm fully fit the 35/85 are my weapons of choice lol.

Main issue today was with outer focus points, but the centre one never failed.

I also had two poorly-lit subjects and both subjects were about the same color with little to distinguish them so not helpful and can't explain how dark it was!

Not good, what did you do to your shoulder?

I'd be more than happy to take the 24-70mm off your hands, you know to stop it seizing up and all that ;)

Regarding your focussing issue with the outer points don't forget these aren't cross type and so struggle when contrast is poor and in low light. Also, I'm not sure which focus points are rated down to -3ev, could just be the centre one?

I decided to take a flying lesson off my Mountain Bike, and according to Strata it was at around 22mph! Landing cushioned by a thorn bush... not good!

Yeah centre point was superb, and owner of foal loves them so glad she is happy.

I feel your pain, did the same just over a year ago, smashed it up good and proper. Only now starting to lie on it at night a bit. Incidentally, I don't actually think the 24-70 is that heavy, similar to my 1.4 primes.

I'm using the 1.8s! Was just about bearable for wedding last weekend, but still had pains next day, just from lifting camera to face so many times.

Was the bike ok?

I haven't had much of an opportunity to make much of a comparison but I felt that the D7200 gave me an advantage over the D750 when I was on Skomer Island last week. I'm stuck at home on call today so I'll see if I can set up a couple of comparison tests later on and post the results. :)

Did you have the op Justin? It took the whole 12 weeks they quoted to get full movement again afterwards for me. Awful time but could've been worse - we were on a downhill jump section.

Ouch @JJ! - hope you heal quickly.

I like that second one of the horse, I think that's a cracker.

Went for a couple of high key backlit shots while we were camping over the weekend there up at Nevis:

He was actually happy in both shots, but as other owners of 5 year olds may know, their expressions of happiness don't always translate through the lens! Both shot at 1.4 obviously...

Messing around with my daughter (she owed me for dying her hair) in the garden. Kinda wanted a dark feel to it, and liked how it came out. Inspiration came about from her shirt ;)

@Swanseajack not a fix per se but if I click the select a source option on the top left it lets me select the last used destination, without having to go through the process of opening up all the drop downs below. If I go through the drop downs below I have to go through the following process:-
user > toby > pictures > lightroom > master catalogue > RAW photos > 2016 > foldername. Now I've discovered this "select a source root" I can just click select a source > Last destination folder. Before I updated as soon as I went into import the last destination folder was already selected.
