Nikon D750 & D780

Right, I've put my lenses out on the floor and taken a photo. I really don't think I can justify any more lenses! I can cover everything I need and now I need to offload a Nikon 50mm f/1.8 :)

See that 35mm would fit straight in!

No - there's no space, see ;)

All joking aside, I use 35mm less than pretty much any other focal length and I'd be more likely to go for a 20mm or 18mm prime with good flare resistance for shooting sunsets before anything longer. As it is, they're really covered by the WA zoom anyway so there has to be a good reason and decent VFM on what extra I'd be getting. An 18mm f/3.5 AI-S is certainly a consideration...

Used auto ISO for these and set the shutter speed to a minimum of 1/320. They're probably all at F2.8 because it's me.

Cheers.

Lovely shots, auto ISO ftw

Nice shots. I was using auto ISO at the wedding, seems to work well. As it was most at 35mm I had it set to 1/200 just to make sure.

The Tamron 35 and 45 1.8 are usually £399 in most photo trade shows or even Calumet open days. [emoji1]

I use auto ISO most of time too. One less thing to worry about ha ha

Quick one. When I am taking photos on my D750 in portrait orientation, it no longer auto rotates so when I review it, it's not turned round automatically. And when I am importing the images, it's also not auto rotated.

Any ideas which menu I need to change?

Dur, never mind I found it. It was hidden in setup rather than the settings!

Cheap! Never seen them that low new with the warranty! When is the next open day? lol

I actually prefer it not to rotate to tall (or whatever the menu calls it) as if I'm shooting in portrait I'm probably reviewing in portrait so want it that way anyway. If I turn my DSLR back to landscape and look, the portrait shots end up being so tiny after being rotated in camera I flip it back round to see it properly on the LCD anyway!

And it still imports correctly with the appropriate orientation...

Anyone actually had both the Tamron 35mm and Nikon 35mm f1.8g FX?

Anyone else having import issues with lightroom since the update? Before when I imported it would 'remember' the root folder I last imported from but now it doesn't so I have to locate it every time I import which is highly annoying as my RAW folder is buried deep in other folders

No. Touch wood!

But I import from the SD card and Lightroom tells the raw files where to go.

I thought I'd dig out my 70-200 VRII yesterday and do a couple of things I hardly ever do.

:D Shoot wide open:

And make a massive crop:

RIAT today was awesome, why haven't I done that before? Only about 1800 shots to cull :( my panning was okish considering I don't do this stuff, got enough.

Nah, I'm all good with the g right now. The Tamron (in my opinion of course) had pretty slow focus speed compared to the Nikon and just felt sluggish overall.

Here's the F-22 - pretty damn rare!

Lovely clear shots, which lens were you using? Looks like you got the best day for weather. I'm going Sunday, not looking so good!

Tammy 150-600 Chris. It was cloudy for much of the show, especially back end. By the time the arrows were on the contrast was poor really. Having said that, I forgot to use sun cream and burnt [emoji19] it's the first time I've really used the lens, had it nearly a year. It performed well. Took a little getting into panning with it at first with strong wind.

Definitely go next year, maybe a few of us could have a get together. Minnts missus will have forgiven him by then!

Culled about 500 last night, more to do tomorrow. My favourite shot of the F-22 I have just clipped the back off [emoji20]

I'd love to go, but is it always on during the week rather than weekend?
