Nikon D750 & D780

It's tempting. Do you handhold it or mainly monopod?

I always shoot that lens handheld... It kills me by the end of a full day's shooting but I don't like the restriction of using a monopod. :)

Very engaging, good eye contact and the coat is quite striking. Works well with the neutral background. (y)

Is that a good thing or bad about very engaging

Ive not posted a image on here for a while and today i been doing some processing.. What do you guys think of this one please

Very nice Andrew (do you prefer Andy or Andrew?). Anyway, if the person is looking at the camera you absolutely want it to be engaging imo, and you've captured this very well.

Hmmm. Both sigma 150-600 and tamron 150-600 are the same price. Anybody got real experience with either/both. Anybody used either/both on the d800 as well as the d750?

Keep your eye on the European Amazon sites Shaheed, picked up my Tamron for less than £700 last year. Haven't used it as much as I should, I knew it would be a novelty buy for me but really want to do RIAT this year so planning on doing that. Then I may trade it in, really want to complete the set with a 24-70 and 70-200, the latter probably next year though. Will say that I'm very impressed with it for the money. The Sigma S is built like a tank but twice the price.

Cheers pal.

You can call which ever most do call me Andy but I don't mind.

Glad I took the image well as she doesn't keep still or pulls bloody faces lol

Currently editing some pictures from the wedding I shot and am loving the D750 files, especially on a day with strong sunlight that means keeping detail in the dress is tough going.

The best bit about the D750 is its versatility... I haven't found anything yet that it can't do well. :)

Here's a few from yesterday and this afternoon in the garden.

1. This is Caiya, my youngest... She sat still for half a dozen shots and then got bored and wandered off. :D

2. Grass Spider - From his (or her) perspective!

3. Resting Fly

Highlighr priority metering is a godsend for that.

And you get used to how the camera handles, I usually shoot in AP, but I know in certain situations that I need to dial in -0.7 on the exposure compensation to get what I want out of the camera.

I've seen a couple but they come without a warranty as its the international version

I didn't use that as didn't feel totally comfortable, but there's not one shot yet where I've been unable to recover the highlights.

Well I been looking through some photos I took other week that I not had chance to process makes me think what a cracking camera it is. Why the hell I want a xt1 I don't know lol gas I suppose

You don't have to copy Twist you know :p No way the Xt1 is better than the D750.

I've had both, loved the XT1 but the D750 blows it away in anything other than weight.

These forums don't help with Gas lol

I've already told him that ;) but it does depend on if he places more importance on size/weight vs overall sensor/af performance. What's going to make him use his camera more if he can only choose one system and are conditions such that he will notice a difference.
