Yeah it was for me too. I could only justify it when my second D750 fell through.
The way I see it I don't need it for another two months and I've got 2.8 zooms to sell and cover the cost when I need the extra body.
I've pretty much settled on shooting portraits/people/weddings and the 58 on my D750 is perfect for that.
Personally I don't think there's anything wrong with shooting a bit of everything, stops it getting boring and also gives you more to learn![]()
That shot works pretty good for me David, creative and well presented.

Sarah Winter Walk Winston by Chris McDonald, on FlickrTBH, if you're not using it then it is pointless keeping it. But the IQ is clear to see in those shots.
Perhaps a small prime would make it more portable for you. The new F1.8g primes are really quite small and lightweight in comparison to your 24-70.
Cracking cameras. The only things to consider are that low light and continuous AF aren't great, and Wb and colour accuracy aren't as good as the D750.Ha ha - im going to have a look.
I've been pondering on the A7II with built in image stabalisation. Couldn't stretch to the A7RII and I don't need the megapixels- hell I was thinking about getting the A7S a while back! A7II has gone beefier though ....
Yes - done some research and AF is not class leading! I had the A6000 and it performed quite well but (at the time) couldn't consider the A7 1 due to the even worse performanceCracking cameras. IQ of your shots are excellent, especially the 3rd. I'd be well chuffed with that.
Why do you need a grip? I use the 70-200mm f2.8 without oneI have also added a grip (which is very much needed for the 24-70) which would have increased its lardiness!![]()
But would you say it's "much needed"?I do like the grip, superb addition for me.
Bizarre how we all find things different. I take the weight in my left hand cupped under the lens (with no strain on the little finger), my right hand doesn't do much in the way of supporting so that it's free to roam around the controls. It reduces the leverage on the little finger from the weighty lens. Feels better.
Does anyone else suffer from slow image playback/preview after taking a picture? Mine could take upto 5 seconds! It's almost as though I'm using a very slow card....
I'm using a sandisk extreme 95mb/s.....so it's definitely not the cards.....
I mirror my cards.....
Sometimes the D750 can be slow to show playback or menus if it's been allowed to 'go to sleep', and this has been mentioned by several users. However, if I press playback after taking a shot it's normally displayed instantly. I don't have auto playback anymore, but when I first got the camera I did and again it was instant from what I can remember.Does anyone else suffer from slow image playback/preview after taking a picture? Still searching for a nice compact day bag for just the D750 and a prime. Its pretty hard to choose when online as dimensions always seem out!

Never use that facility Vishal, prefer to just get on and keep shooting.
"Purely a personal thing, but there's nothing you can do with the shot outside of PP later once it's taken (with the exception of static subjects etc) so you might just as well get on with the next shot before you miss it".
George.
Agreed, dont use it either just slows the process down.
