We have a lot of dust magnets in our houseI agree it looks a bit like a futuristic building and is perfect for the theme.
What fun to have an electronic drum kit. I have a drum kit and it takes up so much space. It’s not been played in a long time either.
Not summet you see every day! Nice one![]()
Yes there is a lot to recommend them. I just tinker for fun - or at least I used to, but it was also used by drummers in bands we've had over the years so we could practice together (I was the bass player) and their constant fiddling with the set up made it more of an effort. If I got into playing often again I would definitely want to invest in an electronic kit. I used to find playing like meditationI'd highly recommend electronic kits. Is it the same?... well, no... but it's close enough for practice, and it's a minor adjustment to an acoustic kit when we're down at the studios or out playing. Just being able to play through headphones is a godsend, and it's also easy enough to record at home, straight into the computer for better pre-production tracks. This kit is an old Roland TD8, so going back a few years, but it sounds great, is really good in terms of velocity sensitivity, etc, and if I record it via midi I can use it to trigger samples even better than the plethora that the module comes with.

Good shot !
I'm glad you explained what it was... there was a bit of head scratching here. Definitely bang on theme.
Salad Days by Nick, on FlickrWhat my lunch? It was also taken at the same place @Cobra would often take his!![]()
Certainly meets the theme.
I’d say it meets the theme very nicely, especially as you have him munching. I might say it meats the theme except it’s a lettuce
Nice backdrop for this sort of shot. Well taken.
Yep - that's grub for sure! Nice pic![]()
Oh, it's food all right. Nothing in the theme to say that it has to be human food.
Nice picture! Definitely a food shot.
What a great food pic.
Good background too.
Says food to me... good capture.
Excellent shot
Works for me too. Nicely done.
Simplicity by Nick, on FlickrNicely on theme. A while since I've seen the inside of a film camera!
I like the composition and the black and white treatment works well. Good to see an old film camera is still in use.
I had a similar idea with my old Canon AE-1 but it was nowhere near as nice a shot as you've taken Nick.
Works well for the theme, the double B&W works well.
Pete
Clever and a very nice shot Nick, goes great in B&W.
Yep - that works for me Nick![]()
Having a weird mind, I'd have tried colour popping the yellow box (if Tri-X boxes are still yellow!) as a deliberate anachronism/contradiction! Not sure I'd share the result though!!!
Certainly fits the theme.
That is nicely done Nick and works well in black and white. It reminds me that I’ve got a Vito B in a drawer somewhere.
Great idea for theme and well taken.
Nice mono image which fits the item. Reminds me of sitting under the stairs in the dark trying to get film out and into the tank!
