Daily MWHCVT(Matt's) - The Year of the Thousandth

It's not very interesting, Matt - to be honest it looks like a photo I would take so hardly worthy of your expertise. Focus is good, though and the processing is nice.

Sam, I maybe got a little caught up in the name it was a oh cool look at the name  I think that you being too hard on your self and far too kind to my photography skills

I think we should swap for a (little) bit, my 50d and 18-55 for your 5d3 and 24-70

I actually got to play with a 6d today, my that is one nice camera. Lets hope my numbers come up on the lottery :bonk:

Good pic for today Matt, the b+w works well.

 I do love my 5D :D it's a stunner best thing I've ever brought  glad you like them :D I'm just heading out now but will catch up with everyone's threads later

I think a different background might have suited the whistle better, good shot of the car though.

Yeah I can see that Phil, it not the best photo I've ever shot :( glad you like the fire shot

Day 41 - Orbtastic

I got my POTD in early today, Orbtastic the Ball of Colour meets up with a Ball of Fire in a secluded location under the M6 somewhere in Warwickshire, this was shot 2am this morning I wonder if the people passing over us has a idea that this was or even could be going on just below their dunlops :D

So you've got a wire wool orb spin and a V24 orbs, all done in a single exposure not a pixel changed in this photo

Just catching up after a few days of busy busyness, loving the ball in the church - very pretty.

Completely the right place and time for the firemen - how lucky was that

And I love the under the M6 shot, although it is a little busy.

Catching up with your shots Matthew...

Loving the light trails, especially the clouds giving that sense of movement, good work sir!

Great close up of the coin too, as Jeff mentioned, I too would prefer the dof to allow for the whole coin to be in focus....then you follow it up with a cracking triptych of the coins too, really works well, like that one very much, and then the set of 4 coins, my fave of the coin shots with the black background really working well.

Love the light painting shot. I'm definitely going to have to experiment with some light painting. It will be soon be new camera time for me so might take the opportunity then to have a play around with light painting.

Love the wine gums shot, well lit and great colours, sorry to hear about your neighbour matey.

Great shot of the fire engine, and the smoke really adds atmosphere too the shot too.

The whistle shot, maybe a little bland tbh, but great detail with the name close up, does bring back memories when as a nipper carrying my late dad's ref's bag when he used to referee sunday league footie, hahaha some of the comments I used to hear about the referee at such a tender age....lol...shocking :eek:

Again your light painting shot for today is just awesome...love it :thumbs::thumbs:

Catching up, finally!!!! Love the light painting, that wand is brilliant for colours. I also love the name of that whistle, they don't give things names like that now.

I know right? what a cool name, really pleased that you like the light painting :D I love the wand :D

Love the last 2 light painting shots, definitely the pick of the bunch. You oughta get out there and do more of those!! :)
