I am not the sort of person to be fussed about stuff, I generally go with the flow, fairly laid back. I genuinely have sympathy with people that do feel their lives are genuinely affected by real OCD, it must make things much more difficult than they need to be. However, I do think we all have the ability to be just a teeny weeny little bit 'OCD' about the daftest of things. Today I realised one of mine.

It's the shower. Or to be more accurate, the shower head. It HAS to be pointing exactly in the middle between the curtain and tiled wall and I will spend an inordinately stupid amount of time making sure it just so before getting on with the matter in hand. Why ffs? I mean seriously, as long as its gets you wet and washes off the soap!! Does it really matter if it is a few degrees one way or the other, there is plenty of room in there.

I am pretty sure if I think about it I can probably think of other tiny, insignificant things that I am like this about, that anyone else would thing were mad, but in the meantime, humour me and tell me you have a few moments like this too. :D

nah your just mad. Thats nuts that is :LOL::LOL::LOL::coat:

Mine is when I do the washing up at home (we dont have a dish washer as we have a small kitchen).

Everything has to be done in the same order...everytime. Ill start with the plates, which will be placed on the rack in size order, then the bowls which are stacked on the draining board, then the cuttlery, then any pots/pans. I dry everything and put it away, then tackle the glasses and cups with fresh hot water.

Winds me up when my wife does it differently :D

Sorry Nick but you're doing it wrong!

Cups and glasses first (washed as the basin is filling and rinsed under the still running tap) then cuttlery, then dry and put away the cups and glasses, then bowls and plates, then pots and pans.

Now, to me that is illogical.
Wash the glasses first in the hot clean water.
Rinse under the running water,
then the plates / dishes etc.

Then add more hot water and liquid if required,
soak the pots and pans in that while drying the rest up.

Its not OCD, it just makes sense :p

Washing up is surely, least dirty, most delicate items first working towards crusted on muck. Wine glasses, cups, mugs, plates, saucepan that was only used to boil veg, dinner plates with gravy on, cutlery, saucepans used to make stew etc, roasting tin.

I can identify with the shower head central thing too.
And loo roll drops down against the wall i.e. behind

see, thats the point though, it is how Nick HAS to do it, even if the rest of us think he is just a little bit mad :D

Just remembered one.
I like have to ban people in reverse alphabetical order
Now that Zulu's gone
Yankee's gone
X-ray's gone
Whiskey's gone,
There must be some one beginning with V

, even if the rest of us think he is just a little bit mad :D
"Just a little bit mad"?
We all know that Nick lost it years ago :D

I've always thought 'OCD' should be 'CDO' really....

, it is how Nick HAS to do it, even if though the rest of us think know he is just a little bit quite mad :D
FTFY

oh and the toilet roll thing, should definitely hang down the front, but I can cope if some idiot one has hung it down the back.
That's another one I don't get.
Lets face it, the end result is the same :D

Well, I won't have a fit of the heebyjeebies, but someone'll get a slap round the head

You know those double light sockets that you have in the hall?
One switch for the hall light and one to turn on the landing light from downstairs . . . drives me absolutely insane if they get out of synch, so they're not both pointing the same way when both lights are turned off.
To the point where I have to go up and down the stairs switching the landing light on and off in the right sequence to get them both lined up again

Nothing bad will happen if you leave them "out of sync" honest.
:D

Agreed, it stops you having to scrabble against the wall to get it (depending on the particular toilet roll hanging device you have). I always change it if its the wrong way round as I'm the only one in the house who cares!

I'm not at the point where I'll go upstairs to change it (although I do sort out the two switches in the kitchen), but there's something about them being right which is visually appealing!

I do it in other peoples houses too

Surely toilet roll is best lesft on the back of the loo because I cant be bothered to out in on the holder

Surely, for him to have lost it, he would have had to have been in posession of it in the first place....... :sneaky:

'It' was offered to me years ago, but I declined. I thought my life would be more interesting without it.

I used to do that, till a knocked a full one into the "bowl"
Makes a bit of a mess quite frankly :D

Another possible one for me.

I think it sits in the category of 'Security conscious bordering on the OCD'. I check that I have locked the front door, back door and patio sliding doors about 3 times before I can happily go to bed at night.

Checking 3 times makes it OCD with a hint of security consciousness!
