Lovely clear and natural portrait Jean - the clarity is fantastic and the colours really natural! Cracking shot (note I'm getting my comment in on time)
Well done that woman and lovely to see you too![]()

WOW - what a superb portrait....
Your family will ALL want prints I'm sure of that....
Good job...

Have to agree with the others! That's a superb Self portrait!
Well I've really been enjoying putting faces to names this week !
What a lovely shot Jean. Beautiful lighting and fantastically sharp.
Your lessons learned made me laugh and I think I share quite a few of them this week - I don't think I'll be doing this EVER again either

I absolutely 100% agree with this, this is a fantastic portait! Well done![]()
What a stunning self-portrait! You look really good in it - well done!![]()
Stunning sp Jean, very well done indeed. You don't look grumpy either... How grumpy did you get with yourself for not doing what you were telling yourself to do ?
I don't know how grumpy I got - I didn't listen to myself. Thanks you for the lovely comments, though.

DS - Please don't apologise for being so nice to me. Nice is a warm, fuzzy feeling.![]()
Jean

As he often does, Mr JG came to my rescue this week and offered to let me and my camera loose in his tidy, well-organised woodturning workshop.

So, along with all you other 52ers who are snapping/posting on Sunday afternoon (or later!) I've failed one aspect of Organised - getting my photo done in good time.![]()

I'm glad it wasn't just me that had a tough time with this theme
This is a really unusual take on the theme from you though - I like the idea but you're right, my heart is still pretty steady. I think you've done well with the subject and I can't honestly think of anything constructive to say about how you could set it up differently. The lighting is good considering it was just a lamp - my favoured lighting tool btw - and you've controlled the shadows well.
All in all abut not my favourite of yours.
Oh yes - I'm with you on that!!!
I'm glad that Mr JG was organised enough to give you some inspiration this week - and that truly does look organised, so bang on theme!
I love the way that you've brought out the grain and bits of bark on that wood - I can almost smell it
Lighting has worked really well - I see that I wasn't the only one playing with desk lights this week
As an image, like I said on another thread, perhaps not the most exciting - but then it's not the most exciting theme. And you've done really well to get a good shot to fit with it![]()
Well, I'm going the the least organised and not post mine until next week!
Agree with the others. Nice photo, fits the theme really well, but my heart is maintaining a fairly steady beat!

Not your best but the colours and lighting are good.
I'd never heard of some of those woods!
Sorry your having such a hard time with these 52s lately Jean, your self shot was excellent...
now this week ok not your best work and not a patch on Communication... remember them...
So you have done some fantastic photography lately...
so give yourself a break...:nono: no more (Doom& Gloom) from you please...

It's spot on theme Jean, some lovely textures and patterns you've picked up in all that wood (you've just given me some inspiration for a different form of organised too)... It's well lit. I like it.

Another clever interpretation, I feel thoroughly put to shame this week.
The colour and warmth of the tones in the wood make this a lovely picture!
Its a good interpretation Jean - okay my hearts not beating faster but you met the theme and educated us in wood types and got the damn thing in well on time unlike disorganised me![]()

What a lovely colourful shot with all this rain and gloom around
You got the focus and DOF spot on for me...
Brilliant stuff... Jean...
Good Week for you again...![]()
