A bank holiday!! It rained, as usual. Only found out about a TVR trackday at Kirkistown after I got up. I wasn't going to go on my own, but decided to anyway. Glad I did, enjoyed it. Sliding door of the van came in useful as a togging shelter!! :)

EXIF: 1/200 f/13 300mm ISO 200

Cool, I really needed something to do today, other than eat cake. This would have been ideal.

I would love to do some proper racing, track day drivers never follow the correct lines!! I took over 500, deleted a load of soft or out of frame ones there and then.

Haven't even looked at the rest of them, will send ya a link tomorrow for a bit of c&c.

Track day is something I have to tick off, no excuse for me not to as Thruxton is 5 mins away (need to go before I move too)

Nice shot too, just. Shame the White background object spoils the lines of the car, nice detail on the car

I think Thruxton is the fastest racetrack in the country, probably quite a unique challenge photographically. I'd like to go and have a pop.

I did Thruxton on a bike day and found that there were very limited decent photographic vantage points for a normal spectator. Mind you, that was during a proper race day - might be different on a track day.

Go on then, whats your way?

Sorry Lisa, just realised I completely ignored your question!! :(

I use a plastic food bag and hang it above a basin, prick a hole in the food bag and watch where the drop hits. 9 out of 10 times because everything is static, it will hit the same spot. I have the camera set up on a tripod, I put a pen or fork or knife where the drop is hitting and focus the camera on that. Then I switch to mf. Focussing done!! :D

Then you can either fire a flash directly at it, if you have one, or bounce it off your funny coloured tiles that everyone likes.....:coat:

Day 244.

A definite "I need to make this look better" process today. Was busy enough, I'm missing out on some training tomorrow, apparently I already know it, and I quote, " It would be more beneficial if you were out on the road" Yay me.....

It's the third training course I have been left out of. I'm either exceptional at my job, or I'm being purposefully forgotten about. Union man might get a ring in the morning, I love to stir **** in a job I'm about to leave......yay me!!

Thank you :)

Bit different to how i do them, will have to give that a try and use my tripod  Prob give better results than camera in one hand and dropper thing/ straw in the other :bonk:

Love yesterdays pic, she looks playful :)

Aaah no it's not that bad.... you only moan about one thing as far as I can remember.

I moan to everyone else about everything else!! :D

Go get 'em Jonny! Love today's tryptich by the way.

Thanks Marc.

It's a lot more precise my way, you can still handhold the camera, as long as the drop is hitting the same place. ;)

Day 245. Star Friends.

A busy day at work, was pulled all over the country today. So a drink with my mate John is on the cards. I'm in training tomorrow and will be given a special envelope with the redundancy offer inside it. Wish me luck!!

Good luck Jonny, whatever the offer in the envelope at least you will know. For me it's the waiting that was worst.

Day 246.

A boring day stuck in the office. A training course on BS5266, Emergency Lighting regulations. Actually learnt a few things, but it was so damn boring....zzzzzzz.......

I've given up completely on the management of my work, useless. I was supposed to receive my redundancy offer today, but it's now delayed to Monday. It's not like it's important or anything...I really should have expected it, it's taken them over a year to get to this stage.

So you get a picture of Sasha looking sad because she's be locked outside and I was cooking steaks. mmmmm...
