Back in the days when they used RISC processors and offered a viable alternative to the competition, I'd have agreed. The rot set in when they switched to cheaper components "to support cross-compatibility and reduce software development costs" and didn't bother to reduce the price of their kit to suit.

I don't think anyone disagrees. You pay for the apple logo but if you want top end gear it's there, especially on the laptops.
IPhones, I think they're a little playing catchup now.
 
Only "I" product I have ever owned is shown below, maybe they should sue the arse off Apple for nicking the I prefix. Perhaps that's how they got the name too as in "apple of their eye"
