Yes
I've never seen so many iphones for sale in one place. The one thing that that does amaze me is the prices wanted for scruffy two and three year old iphones!
Still each to their own!

My iphone 5 died completely, don't even know if it's fixable to sell on. The store wanted €240 to mend it, basically the battery is conked out, it's mint otherwise. Anyay, I'm sick of Apple products, never had any luck with them. Had the iphone 4 and the home button stopped responding after about a year, I was stuck with it on a 2 yr contract. Upgraded to the 5, hated it from the start - and again, about a year in, battery died and refused to charge. My iPad has been acting up since the new update too. F U apple, I'm going Android.

I got myself a HTC M8 and loving it. Such a nice change from the bland iOS look and good riddance to iTunes too, most horrible software ever made.

I honestly pity anyone continuing on the iPhone trail. The 6 looks nothing new, just a flattened, widened iphone 5s.

Flattened? I thought it had a curved screen!!! ;)

Width wise, obviously. Curved corners don't make it not flat, unless the back of it is also curved?

I was referring to it bending in pockets rather than a design feature.

Ah right I'm very slow today :D

Unfortunately the HTC M8 has been shown to bend and crack as easily as the iPhone 6, with other phones only beating them by a little. Think the S5 was the toughest.

I'm not bothered about keeping up to date with the latest phones. To be honest I find it pretty sad that so many people turned up for the midnight launches for the 6. I just had to laugh at the boy who got the first one and dropped it :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

If it's not broken why fix it I was always told and stuck by it(y)

LOL especially the last one @Ian D J
:D

I'll be getting one - toss up between going to ee or 3 though - o2 is pants round my way.

The bending of a phone, any phone, is a function of the Neanderthal owner. Not the phone.

Yes but can you actually say that you've seen any other smart phone flex like the Iphone 6? I don't think so lol. My fired had one in the front pocket of her jeans and all she did to bend it out of shape was to sit down. Unless they made the flexibility on purpose then the build quality is just terrible.

It has nothing to do with build quality. It's about poor design. A big difference.

For some reason Apple want's to make every new iphone thinner and lighter. The company needs to realise that the everyone would of been happier to have a slightly thicker phone which would no doubt improve battery life (by allowing for a slightly larger battery), allow for a flush camera lens and allow for a stronger chassis.

I did mean that but at 4:30 I wasn't quite awake lol

I hope they all saw the light and will be buying Android handsets, no a copycat knock off :)

Really don't understand this childish need to belittle peoples' buying choice. I have an iPhone 6 Plus on order but I'd never feel the need to take the p*** out of anyone that decided to buy an Android or Windows phone. It's personal choice. Each to their own. Your attitude is very immature.

Nope, not at all, however the rush to buy the latest apple product because it's pretty and from apple is an interesting subject. It's not because it's the latest and best product as it's virtually a copy of the best phones from 2012 offered by other manufacturers. Apple are no longer innovating but playing catchup, but there plenty willing to part with significant amounts of money for a minor upgrade.

Apples insistence of not accepting so me internet standard formats, preferring their own proprietary ones can be annoying and their testing is appalling, it's almost as though they don't care as they know people will still rush to buy their items. Let's face it, it's not their first phone to suffer major issues.

Forced into upgrading iOS as apps etc won't work with old os software. Then the older hardware slows with the newer os.

Then there's the whole apple tax scandal.

I'm typing this on an ipad, I have an iPhone 4s but these will be the last apple products I buy.

I suspect that much of the rush is because there are a lot of people out there who have skipped generations of launches. I'm changing my mobile from a 4S to a 6 Plus. So, I made the decision not to upgrade to the 5, or the 5C or the 5S.
So what you may perceive as a "rush" is actually the first change of handset for many in THREE years.

Very happy with my iPhone 6 here; used a friend's 5s over the weekend and it felt like an iPod Nano!

Well, I went Android this time, not to make any statement or because I'm Anti-anything. I do hate fanboyism on either side. And it happens everywhere, what is it with people? Canon v Nikon, Xbox V Playstation, iOS VS Android ... Maiden Vs Metallica :D [I like both] and so on. Nothing but light banter here that I can see. You want real immaturity look up any youtube clip on either android or iOS, amazingly idiotic comments all over the shop.

I am sick of Apple products though, had the iPhone 4, the 5, have an iPad mini and an apple tv. I had hoped the tv box would work well with the pad - as there's apps to control it. But it was so hit and miss. My ipad is now locked up since installing the 2nd update for iOS8, my iphone 5 battery died completely - the home button died on the 4 before it, my daughter's iPad mini is a brick, won't charge ... and my partner bought a mac air and the screen cracked a little too easily ... so I have given plenty of Apple products a shot. They all failed in some way over time.

if you do the bug fix update that came on last night ,your i-pad will perform better than before .there were obviously bugs in the big download and they have now fixed them

Is that the 60-odd mb file? 8.0.2? Because that's the one locked it up :/ it's demanding to be connected to itunes, like it's fully reset. I just haven't had the patience to do it yet.

I have an ipad 1 that's useless now. Can't upgrade the os, can't run apps as most of them got updated and won't work with IOS 5, so I'm left with a tablet that will run a browser.

ahh Thanks for the pity it means alot... I regularly use an iPhone as a DAW where I plug in my leccy drumkit and lay down a beat, then a guitar track over that, then I might plug my m audio usb midi keyboard in and lay down a piano part, maybe a bit of vocal after that.. add effects and mix the tracks then publish it to Soundcloud.. all on my iPhone, its just not on. :jawdrop:

How do you know someone has an Android phone?

They tell you. Repeatedly.

easier with an ipad - bigger buttons :)

Can you still make a phone call on these phones?
Just curious .
:p

Oh yes. I probably call for about 200 minutes five days per week. They are great for that. And with a very easy two day battery life for the 6+ I'm a very happy chappy.

All this bending nonsense is hilarious though and just as pathetic an attempt as antenna gate. I guess tall trees really do catch a lot of wind.

In the last ten days I've had it in my pocket all the time. Both on suits, jeans, chinos, pyjamas, shorts. Been running, commuting, cycling, hire riding, gardening, cleaned a car, and moved furniture. Heck it is better than a tampon advert :p and less bendy.

Oh the one thing I haven't done is out it in my back pocket and sat on it. Maybe that is where I've gone wrong.

Ps. Regarding standards I find laughable. How much extra do you have to pay on say android to get open standards like carddav for your contacts and caldav for your calendaring. Just to name two. Or who was a big contributor to WebKit? I'd really suggest people should check out where big open source contributions come from before talking about proprietary standards.

@dejongj Well I'm glad to hear that they are still useful for making calls, Jp

After all that "exercise" (you wore me out, just reading it TBH :D ) you really should be an advert for tampons, I mean iPhones :D
Of course you never did the splash test though,
top shirt pocket, bend over the loo slightly while taking a leak,
phone goes down the pan. :D

Lol can't say I have to bent over the toilet often. My tools don't have a large roof ;) last time I had my arms around the porcelain lady I had a Panasonic candy bar phone.

Just for balance....

I have an iPhone 6 plus. It's a fantastic bit of kit. Battery life is great.

I have an iPad Mini, works fine without issue with upgraded software.

I have a MacBook Air, it's provided 3 years hassle free computing.

I have a 27" iMac - trouble free ever since I've had it.

No reason whatsoever for me to consider anything else, Apple's product do everything I want them to do and touchwood, trouble free too to date!
