That old son is the catch 22 ,damned if we do damned if we don't . It's not the refugees that are the problem it's the sheer size of this exodus and also who's hidden within it ,this is a game changer on a unheard of before scale .
Funny we are not hearing much from certain other e.u countries I.e Holland ,Denmark ,etc ,also Poland that must have land and housing aplenty seeing half there population is living here already .
And the Eu countries (all very much larger than UK) we are now hearing from are in the same group that were not accepting people when Tony boy & co. opened this country's doors to 4 million immigrants.
All of a sudden emotional claptrap is now in full swing because of a horrible picture. Thousands of pictures like that were available to be taken on Mediterranean shores for the last four years at least and hundreds of thousands of instances of mutilated men women and children have occurred in the usual numerous countries for much longer than that. The situation in such countries is getting worse and the number of people fleeing is increasing endlessly. The political situation, habits, customs, beliefs in such countries plus historical hatreds and foreign intervention (the latter being a spark and catalyst, but not a cause) have created a mushrooming unstable mess of unfathomable magnitude.
There is not the tiniest hint of an end in sight. Perhaps when the oil rich ME countries see themselves threatened there will be an end in sight, albeit a very violent one.
There is nothing the UK can do that will make the slightest material difference and I think that the majority of folk are somewhat tired of the endless influx of people who want to live here because they have problems living where they were born.
Allow a thousand in today and next thing you know a further two thousand will want in then five thousand, then twenty thousand and so on ad infinitum.
