Heat.

Warmer here this morning 7-C, very overcast and damp with rain forecast for later.

Not often we don't go out on the course but today, it's just too wet and 'orrible! Shame I'm on a diet - the breakfasts looked good!!!

We're up to 6 degrees, just after 1pm. Been a while since we knew such lofty heights.

No rain but very damp air and heavy cloud.

Its just started raining here

It's been raining here again since about 14.00 and is still at it.

Still raining here, not as heavy as it was, and the wind picked up for a bit, earlier too.

Stopped raining here now and looking good for an unspoiled walk up the Otter for lunch tomorrow. 7°C according to the outdoor thermometer.

Dark, damp, grey and raining but 7 degrees.

Clear blue skies here also, about 6oC currently.
But of course rain is predicted for later this afternoon

Ideal weather for the walk up the Otter BUT, the rain over the past few days has rendered a lot of it unwalkable so we rerouted along the road up the East side from the steel bridge and came back through East Budleigh.

It's still 7 here and the predicted rain never arrived,
Its now due around 4am to mid day, but the chances are I'll be Zzzzzzz around that time :D

Or up for that middle-of-the-night visit...

Tipping down here but it's 9 degrees. (y)

Persisting down when we left at 06:45 but no rain when I got home at 07:10. As an aside, the same people were still waiting for the bus that was supposed to have been.

Just about double figures, It hammered it down over night, now its just drizzling.

Tipping down here, I think it has been all night. Love being in bed with the rain tapping the window.

Currently 8 degrees.

Overcast & drizzling first thing, there are now breaks in the clouds and 11 degrees.

Parkswim this morning in Preston Park, Brighton. Soaked to the skin within 5 mins of the start.

Blinded by the sun and 12C this afternoon at home.

Clear sky currently, but the wind is picking up,
and rain forecast for the evening, just for a change

So, two named storms over this weekend,I see, with the first travelling through today .It was the Ireland Met Office ."Met Éireann that named them...Elin (today) and Fergus tomorrow. ..for the SW from early morning. Today hasn't been that bad here with 11C, not a lot of rain and windy but nothing drastic. It must have been worse in Ireland today and forecast to be the same for tomorrow. I think the UK Environment Agency is going to be struggling this winter. re flooding. Here we are just one week past 3 months since the named-storm season started and we've already had six....amazing. The next one will be called 'Gerrit".

Its currently 10oC and hissing down ( no change there then :( )

Odd whitish disc in the sky at the moment...

Lashing down here too. :p
Looking at a "live" map it seems that most of the country is getting it. Apart from a few places in the East.
My local one say's it not raining.

We're getting 4mm at the moment and in the amber colour on Ventusky. I see a walk to the river in my future when the rain stops.

Temperature has dropped slightly, 5 degrees.

The clouds have broken up, its stopped raining, and its apparently 10oC but I dispute that, its colder, more like 5oC

We've now got 12C and the sun is shining. I meant to post the rain radar map at 1030 as it wouldn't be long before the really heavy stuff got to ancient_mariner (Oxfordshire) and yourself in MK..Sort of "look out, chaps, take cover " :) but was distracted for longer than I meant to be. Cars, here, had headlights on and, as mentioned in a few posts ,the rain was absolutely torrential. I see it's cleraring over the east coast now but there is still very heavy rain just south of London. That was storm Fergus. Must take a look out into the Atlantic to see if there's another one developing.

Its been raining here for quite a bit this morning, and now raining quite steadily. Windy and 6-C and just thoroughly miserable.:(

It's not bad here this morning. Everywhere is damp, covered in condensation but it's not raining, or windy at the moment.

Currently 3 degrees but we dodged a frost overnight, no need to scrape the car for the run to the bus stop with my daughter.

It was quiet outside this morning at about 7am, I went to check the cars for ice. The silence struck me,, no birds, no traffic noise, bliss. The only thing I could hear was the river, thundering through the valley after the last few days of rain. There is a small waterfall about 1/4 mile up river, about an 8 foot drop over about a 30 foot stretch and that was making a lot of distant noise. I may pop up later for a look.

Its very still and quiet here, although it was bloody windy in the night, it actually woke me,
and it takes a lot to do that!
It's about 8oC here with light clouds.

Likewise.

Warm enough to be out in the garden in shirt sleeves this morning but now clouded over.

Very showery here today but not too cold 9-C at the moment.

Very wet over night, yet again, its currently cloudy but quite pleasant.
The car tells me it 12oC out there.

Just short of miserable here today. dark, damp, rain, wind and feels cold, although it is 6 degrees at just after 3pm.
