Heat.

Cold and clear earlier, its clouded over a little now though 5oC
And no rain on the horizon either.
proper November weather.

Its not supposed to rain here for the next week or so, but plenty of frosty nights and +1 to +3
day times Brrrrrrrrrr

(Folkestone), It absolutely poured with rain first thing this morning about 05.00, but brightened up by about 09.00 and has been continuous sunshine since then. I don't know what the temperature is outside other than its very cold.

Rain over night, 0c @ 6am, car was a block of ice.

No rain, but our first frost of this season 0c @ 05.00.

Lots of frost and some mist this morning. I'm WFH today, so haven't been outside yet, but it's darn cold.

It was raining quite hard around midnight when I went out to check on the hogs.
It doesn't look like it froze here, but then again I wasn't up at 6 am :D
but it's darn cold.
4oC here, and yep, bloody cold! ( and damp)

Left the east coast this morning..with snow on the car 0.5C.

Not as frosty as yesterday morning and still 0c @ 05.00 but feels colder than yesterday.

-3 @6am, thankfully no rain over night so getting in the car was easier this morning :D

-7 last night, still - 3 at 8:30 am.

Beautiful day though.

Cold here, -2 in Somerton, -3 in Kidlington apparently. Ou fire managed to stay in through the night.

We should have a new pump fitted today.

The grass was crunchy at 6pm last night.
Hazy cloud cover this morning, so its still largely crunchy,
and frosted hedges, and car.
+4 today apparently, -4 tonight

1°C when I got home an hour ago and still snowing gently. Not settling though, thank the pantheon! Bit nippy on the course but not many (other) idiots out so no hold ups!

My bold.

:D Did you put salt & pepper on it ..? A bit of seasoning does make a difference...:D

Now settling on cars and roofs but roads still clear. Heating seems to come on all by itself...

It tastes just like seaweed from the local Chinese take away. :D

There was a couple of hogs out feeding, last night, but as its set to be well below 0 for the next few nights, I wonder for how much longer.

I got into a bit of bother this morning. I use a tarpaulin sheet to cover our wooden patio table when the frosts arrive. Rain is not a problem but frost causes damage. I'd forgotten to do it yesterday when we got back from Norfolk but looked out of the bedroom window at 1.00am this morning and saw the frost. I wasn't about to go down the garden to get it from behind the shed at that time so I saw a large piece of felt material on the conservatory table. It was just the job. My wife went downstairs to get a cuppa at 7.30 am and saw it. It was only the material she uses for her stitching/sewing and it cost £25. Fortunately, it was dry and no harm done. I'll get the plastic sheet later as we're due more frost tonight.

That's really good that you keep an eye on the hedgehogs. About three years ago we had one visit the garden in the summer at 11.00pm so I put out cat food and water, got a patio chair and watched it arrive. Then one day my neighbour found it chewed up on his lawn. There were badgers about, then.

Drizzling with rain at the moment and temperature has dropped to -1C So expecting things to freeze a little later.

I hope its not too cold tonight while you are sleeping in the shed :D

I'm sure you saw my hedgehog thread?
Mum had 5 babies in a potting compost bag.
It looks like just 2 offspring are remaining, the rest seem to have wandered off.
I have to do a food patrol a few times in the evening, until I see them getting stuck in, as there is a ginger cat that comes around and steals the food.
Dog food, Mealworms and assorted nuts, and seeds.

I think I'll be allowed indoors tonight...Lol

I miss threads and keep forgetting to look down the right side for new posts. I sometimes even miss replies to me if an alert via "quote" hasn't been used. I've just done a check re your hedgehogs..in 'Talk Nature' . I'll make sure I check in on the latest. Fortunately, I was aware not to feed them milk nor bread. I'd always do a Google before giving a wild animal food. The foxes seem to eat anything, though. They look very healthy..lovely shiny coats. They frequent the brook across the road and continually do a circuit of the area. I found out that quite a few people put food out for them alongside the brook.

This is the probable reason.

31C here

In Costa Rica :)
If there was an emoji for "envy" I'd use it :D It would cost my wife and I £8000 for 10 days..to go there to see the wildlife ,especially the exotic birds in the Rain forests.

Certainly not Costa Rica here (shiver), -6 through the night, might've dipped colder and currently -3 at 8-30 am.

A glorious morning though, calm, sunny spells and rather pleasant, despite the cold.

-3°C when we went out at 08:15. Felt colder 10 minutes earlier when I went out to defrost the car!!!

That was cold last night, -4 and only just above freezing now, the sky is clear but struggling to thaw the frost.
Its supposed to be even colder tonight -6 and snow predicted for tomorrow evening
The HH are still awake, but they aren't hanging about, out for food around 6pm and gone again shortly after.
I had a "stray" last night, normally there is 2, this time a 3rd turned up, but its half the size of mine, quite small in fact.
Maybe a late brood from somewhere, I'm not sure It'll survive TBH.

-3 @ 04.30 with quite a heavy frost, bit of rain which cleared the frost and now its trying to snow.

It just about made +2 today, but its now plummeting, Another cold one coming up.

Due -5C tonight so I've brought in a couple of patio plants... one being a Camellia. It should be ok,really but I don't want to take a chance as it's very healthy.
We're also forecast snow Saturday night into Sunday..coming out of east Wales.

I really don't like the cold anymore.
