Heat.

3.00am ?? I was in the land of nod, then ..no not Mr Nod...Exeter..lol.

We woke up to a thin covering of snow on the grass and the car. It's gone now but it's only 3ºC with periods of rain. On higher ground, like the Forest of Dean and the Cotswolds there's been 'proper' snow.

Warning: The photo is of a previous fall but used by police.

The irony is that I get ejected from my own land all too early most mornings!

Not posted here for a while, mostly been cold and wet so I'd just be repeating myself... Today was very wet, I was out for a while with the Hares but they all headed to the bushes, can't say I blame them, But with rain and a bit of sun there's colour..

5°-C here at the moment light winds and broken cloud, so not too bad a day so far.

3.00am ??

Yup, my dog had a dodgy tum and she couldn't settle. Tried walking her round the garden, looked up the street and thought to myself, we'll walk up to the park and down to the river. It was quiet, calm and dry, cold though but I'd forgotten how nice it can be that time of day. Owls were calling, even heard a fox, lovely. It used to be a regular thing back in the day when fast cars and girls were my thing, I'm sure I was nocturnal.. These days, unless I'm on a photography trip and now being a dad, I only usually see the back of my eyelids at such hours.

It's a lovely day here, sunny, some heavy clouds but well broken. Dry, not much wind but the odd gust. Currently lovely and 4°C.

6oC here feels like 13 apparently
There was quite a frost in the "wee" hours, wall to wall blue sky, now.
Its quite pleasant out there.

Cars all well frosted at 08:00 but clear now. Clear as a bell at crack of sparrow but overcast now. Around 10°C now.

Looks like a lovely day all round. It was 28ºC in the summer house. We also had a hard frost first thing .It got to -4ºC so, having seen the forecast last night I covered the patio table . I took advantage of the dry grass in the afternoon and mowed our garden and next door's. The lady has been widowed since last July and, unbelievably, her son-in-law charged her £50 a month !!. She said she wasn't able to afford that so he just said he'd do one last mow free and that's what he did. I have a great battery-operated mower and it takes me just 15 minutes so I've taken that on. I get a box of Lindt chocolate every now and then, Love 'em.. :) My wife takes meals and home-made soup round to her to help keep her spirits up and it works. I then mowed our back lawn and we got all the washing done and hung out to dry. Saves a lot of electric for the spin dryer which guzzles it. I checked the meter one day and it went round like a F1 car at Monza... Lol.

It was cold all day. We walked for an hour or so this morning with the curious experience of having ice fragments fall around us as we went under some trees. The mist eventually burned off in the sun, but the air was still very cold and I think it will freeze again tonight.

We've had a cracking day, almost felt like spring, not even cold this afternoon. Dry and clear at the moment, I may cover the cars, although it's still above freezing, 2°C.

6°-C here at the moment, quite a nice bright morning with broken cloud and a gentle breeze.

Hard frost, around zero at home and 1 degree above the valley. Another nippy morning.

Another hard frost in the wee hours.
Its currently 8oC, no wind and some blue sky, among the white clouds.

Plowing a hoolie and bissing down at the moment.

I have a feeling, we are in for a cracking sunset. It's been a belter of a day, if a little chilly. Bone dry, a little gusty but just an all round pleasant day.

Currently 7°C but that could soon change me thinks.

Anybody see the Aurora last night, it was well down South?

5oC heavy cloud and a bit of a breeze, its supposed to be raining but its not.

It was cloudy last night, so no sign of the light show,
apparently it wasn't visible below Birmingham anyway.

Around 8 degrees here when I drove home, and now damp. At least it's less cold.

Pretty miserable here this morning, raining steadily and not very clear. 6°-C so quite mild and only a gentle breeze

It's a nice day, but quite windy, gusting to just over 40mph. Dry and bright though, no sign of rain at the moment and 8°C but it feels a lot colder.

Just about double figures here, no wind, grey sky, but at least its dry.

Soggy underfoot by dry from the ankles up! 12°C on the way home after a 3° (Oooh, Aaah - Precious moments...) outward trip.

Nice bright morning here at the moment with quite a bit of blue in the sky, 6°-C with just a light wind

Lovely morning here too, albeit a bit chillier - 0°C. Wouldn't have been too bad had my car not needed fuel (and from the red to full takes bloody ages at freezing!!!)

We've had a couple of frosty mornings in sunny Devon by the sea...

Frosty roof Ixus 70 IMG_4443.jpg

The grass was sparkling, in the early hours,
its currently 8oC, no wind and thick high cloud

It's been a lovely day down here, not much wind and a partly cloudy sky all day. Temp got up to 10°-C for a while but it's dropping quite rapidly now.

Same here, its been a pleasant day, and the temps are now dropping rapidly.
Its supposed to stay above 0oC through the night though.

Temperature didn't really climb much yesterday, despite the sunshine. Did get warm enough after lunch so "dealt with" (heavy pruning) the passion flower just outside the front door. Just hoping it doesn't object too much to the haircut!

5°-C here at 04-00 and up to 6°-C when I went out at 06-00, quite a bright day so far but cloudy with a gentle breeze.

7oC here,
most of the early morning mist has gone, but its still cloudy and calm.

No frost his morning but lots of condensation on the cars. Lovely morning though and still is at 11am. Bright and sunny, light breeze and 9°C.

11°C according to the car but the wind made it feel a LOT chillier! Covered parts were OK but right hand and face suffered until I found the mitten!

Well it turned out to be a beautiful day here, cloudless blue sky by about 10-30 and temperature up to 9°-C. However it did get very windy by early afternoon which made it feel quite chilly and the temperature has now dropped considerably.
