It was 3 Celsius here and clear earlier.
You can never trust her to tell the truth or gossipAlexa, via a notification, tells me it's going to snow for an hour from midnight.

Any self respecting worm would have been heading for the center of the Earth by nowWormsicles!
it does look like the temps are starting to climb at the weekend and double figures by mid week next week.EDIT - Em just told me weekend could be 10°C again![]()

b****r, I was looking forward to frozen mud to crawl on, bored of swimming in it.it does look like the temps are starting to climb at the weekend and double figures by mid week next week.

We're fortunate enough to have heated front seats in the car which really makes a difference.Since the forecast suggests -5°C at 06:30 tomorrow, Mrs Nod has plugged the Leaf in so it'll be nice and warm (and defrosted!) when she heads of to teach a crack of Sparrow-fart.
Still clear, 1.5oC and about a dozen starlings probing a white lawn.
I'n not sure what they'll find though.
Cats yes, a bloody nuisance, one comes in and raids the hedgehog food. It's a small area that I've fenced off to give protection against cats

I'm sure I heard the Met Office lady say that somewhere in Oxfordshire it got to -8ºC last night.I just couldn't catch the name. Do you think that was possible or have I misheard her ?It was cold and clear last night, but this morning there's no frost and it's heavily overcast and dark. Leaving for work shortly.
It is disappoinnting when you're looking forward to some decent snow and it doesn't materialise.I'm disappointed, we didn't get the snow we were promised. All we got was about 1/2 inch. It's been relatively mild today at around 3°C but it felt a lot colder, I guess due to a wind chill, not that it's particularly windy, just a bit of a breeze.
Dry as a bone out there just now, and only just getting proper dark. It was still lightish at 4-15pm, due to the near cloudless sky.

You're in for a battering next weekend,Dale. Starting Sunday late morning, I think, and for a couple of days .Very strong winds and heavy rain, too. The centre of the Low is north of you near the top of Scotland. Even down here it will be very windy but not so strong as you'll get.
The Low pressure/storm we fortunately missed is travelling along the northern coast of France and might just clip our south coast and is a named storm by the French Met Office...Storm Isha.
I really hope the winds are not too strong. I have a shoogly fence that needs repairing and the ground has been too hard to dig posts in.
I'm not sure who was most disappointed, my daughter or myself, she was hoping for a snow day and a day off school.

-3 here overnight, last night, and again predicted for tonight, but Weds into Thursday is predicted to be -6.Certainly possible, but not around here. Maybe on the higher ground north of Banbury.
